Designed for adults 18 and older, this Celebrate Recovery gathering welcomes men and women seeking healing from any hurt, habit, or hangup that is contributing to a dysfunctional lifestyle or hindering their walk with God. It is not limited to struggles with alcohol or drug use. Participants explore hurts, which are emotional reactions to disturbing situations or another person's behavior, such as abuse, divorce, grief, abandonment, or co-dependency. The focus also includes habits, meaning addictions that control thoughts and actions, including alcohol, drugs, sex, food, or gambling. Hangups are addressed as well, defined as negative mental attitudes used to cope with people or situations, including anger, fear, depression, and anxiety.

This family storytime features read-alouds, playful rhymes, music with movement, and a simple craft to make together. Activities support early literacy and foster a love of reading. A separate room features vintage pieces. Prices are set for quick sales, so arriving early offers the best selection. It happens rain or shine since everything is indoors. All proceeds support charity, with none kept by the church. Parking is available in town lots or on the street, there are limited spaces behind the church, and there is no parking at the AME Church.
