Celebrate the end of Townie Summer with a big summer party for townies at Pale Fire Brewing Co. Wear your best Hawaiian shirt or get a lei when you arrive. Come early for food and fun, then stay for live music (to be announced). Expect an outdoor beverage garden with a bar, Townie Juice, plus tropical-themed drinks and desserts like Piña Colada Jell-O shots and the Tropical Storm cocktail. There will also be local merch available, and seating is limited. This is family friendly, and kids must be supervised by an adult. Dogs are welcome if they’re on a leash at all times.

A nostalgic sock hop features hits from the 50s, 60s, 70s, and beyond, all wrapped in a Grease inspired theme. The night includes dancing, lighthearted games, and chances to reminisce, with food and drinks available to keep energy up. Advance ticket purchases in office or online are encouraged, with tickets also available at the door. Admission is $10 for individuals and $15 for couples. Set in The Shop at Queen City Music Studios, this weekly Old Time Jam brings together a spirited circle of musicians and listeners for an informal, no-cost community music gathering. The session is open to players and listeners alike. Volunteer staff, family, and friends help host the music. Donations are welcome on a sliding scale of $10 to $20, and proceeds support the studio’s mission of making music makers. Queen City Music Studios functions as a school, shop, and event hub, offering workshops, rehearsal space, house concerts, and instruction through private lessons and group classes for all ages, styles, and levels. Founded by Molly Rose Murphy in 2015 as an ear-focused alternative music school, the organization now also provides booking, event management, and production services and engages a team of over twenty professional musicians and instructors. The shop operates as a full-service music store with quality new and used instruments, accessories, and repair services, and Molly’s Musikgarten offers family music classes for early learners through a licensed and certified program.

Using the Puerto Rican cuatro, her performance explores culture, identity, and heritage, uniting tradition with new ideas and uplifting Afro-Latinx stories through vivid, powerful storytelling. Presented as part of the Levitt AMP Harrisonburg Music Series in the grassy area near Turner Pavilion, this event reflects the Levitt Family Foundation’s mission to strengthen communities through free, live music in public spaces that welcome people of all ages and backgrounds while showcasing a broad mix of genres and cultural programming. In 2026, the Foundation is supporting more than 900 free concerts in over 90 towns and cities nationwide, alongside partnerships, field-building initiatives, and research that help grow vibrant music ecosystems.
