A wide selection of badges is offered, including Eagle-required options such as Citizenship in the Community, Citizenship in the Nation, Citizenship in the World, Communication, Emergency Preparedness, Personal Management, and Sustainability. Elective choices include American Business, American Heritage, Art, Automotive Maintenance, Chess, Composite Materials, Crime Prevention, Digital Technology, Entrepreneurship and Salesmanship, Fingerprinting, Genealogy, Graphic Arts, Journalism, Scouting Heritage, Signs, Signals and Codes, Traffic Safety, Truck Transportation, Veterinary Medicine, and Weather. The event fee is $10 per Scout, with some badges requiring an additional supply cost. Adults attend at no charge. Advance registration is required, and walk-ins or late registrations are not accepted. Participants should arrive in the official field uniform, often called Class A. Bring a packed lunch and drink, as no food service is available on-site, along with a notebook, a pen or pencil, and any prerequisites or materials for selected badges. Physical blue cards are not necessary; bring an electronic Scoutbook printout or a permission letter from the Scoutmaster instead. Out-of-council units are welcome to camp at Camp Shenandoah at no cost for the MBU weekend. Adult leaders will find in-person CPR and AED training available, and a computer lab will be open for Scouters to complete online training modules, with more opportunities to be announced.

Josh Davidson brings live local music to Blu Point Seafood Co in Staunton, creating a laid-back night in a restaurant and bar known for a wide-ranging menu. The kitchen features seafood inspired by the Chesapeake Bay and New England, complemented by bar snacks, desserts, and a full bar, with additional choices like chicken, steak, and pasta to suit many tastes. The performance highlights local talent while pairing great music with a welcoming dining experience.

JusT Us marks more than ten years together with a family-friendly, high-energy, multi-genre show. The band is a multi-award winner, named Lynchburg's Best Local Band in 2022 and earning several first place finishes in band competitions. With over 430 performances and more than 200 years of combined experience on stage, they deliver favorites from A to Z and can build full themed sets in specific genres. Their road history spans Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. Highlights include appearances at the renowned Tootsie's, at Derek Bentley's honky-tonk, and at Stagecoach on Music Row in Nashville, along with sold-out shows with David Allen Coe and Rodney Atkins.
