Musicians and music lovers gather for a recurring Old Time jam in The Shop at Queen City Music Studios. Head out for an off-road ride on the Bald Mountain Jeep Trail in the Big Levels area, meeting at Sheetz in Stuarts Draft before rolling to the trail roughly six miles away. Participation is limited to 10 vehicles on a first-come basis, and if plans change after claiming a spot, please give notice so the next person in line can take it. All vehicle types and experience levels are welcome. The plan is to follow the regular route, with a more challenging alternate line potentially available that is generally not suitable for stock vehicles. Brush is tight in places, so pinstripes are possible. Pack snacks and water since this can be a longer outing, and bring a GMRS radio if you have one.

After years working on silk, she turned to watercolor in 2016. Her current focus includes animals and birds, especially pets like dogs and cats, whose expressive eyes and personalities often shine. The summer session spans eight weeks, with options for babies, toddlers, mixed ages, and a Cycle of Seasons class for children in pre-K through first grade. Some offerings require a minimum of three families to run. Families may register for the full session or participate as pop-ins if a weekly commitment is not possible. Tuition is per class at $15 for one child or $25 for siblings, with pop-in pricing at $20 or $30 for siblings. A required $45 family materials package includes more than 40 tracks of music, a parent guide with songs and activities, and either a scarf, percussion instrument, or age-appropriate activity cards.
