Enjoy a night of live stand-up comedy at Wabi Sabi in Old Towne Petersburg. The evening includes dinner and martinis before settling in for the comedy lineup in the lounge. Seating is based on reservations with tables seated until 8:45 PM, and the event is complimentary but requires reservations due to limited space.

A large, free trading card showcase arrives in Richmond, presented by East Coast Card Shows at ACCA Shriners. Expect more than 100 vendor tables featuring dedicated Pokémon TCG sellers, sports cards alongside memorabilia, slabs and graded cards, bulk lots and binders, vintage and modern releases, and sealed Pokémon products. The floor also includes anime and trading card collectibles, One Piece, Disney Lorcana, Magic: The Gathering, plus Funko Pops and related accessories. Attendees can buy, sell, and trade with vendors from the local area and the broader region throughout the weekend. Admission is free, concessions are available on site, the atmosphere is family friendly with all ages welcome, and there will be complimentary prizes, giveaways, and gift bags. Cosplay is encouraged.

Community Day 2026 brings families together at Petersburg High School for a welcoming celebration focused on community connection, new opportunities, and empowerment. Visitors can access no-cost resources and services, including back-to-school help and wellness information, while meeting local organizations and partners dedicated to serving neighbors. The day features activities for all ages and many chances to learn what is available in the area. Hundreds of families take part each year, finding support, enjoying time together, and strengthening neighborhood ties. One day, one community, a lasting impact.

Celebrate the back to school season with a kids dance party filled with music, movement, and cheerful energy. Designed for children ages 10 and under, this gathering features tunes chosen for young listeners, plenty of time to dance, and refreshments available. Admission is free. For safety, a one to one adult to child policy applies, and adults must remain with their child throughout the event. Hosted at Mattie’s Place Events & Venue, it offers a bright start to the new school year.

This Lorcana League features constructed deck play across three best of three rounds, and there is no entry fee. The league runs in seasons that begin shortly after a new set launches and finish with a Top 8 playoff held just before the next set arrives. Players receive one point each week for participating, with additional points awarded through event software, and standings are updated weekly. If there is a tie for the final Top 8 position, a playoff determines who advances. Season-end prizes include a full booster box of the current set for first place, a half box for second, and a quarter box for each finisher from third through eighth. Participants can also expect weekly giveaways and promotional cards. Regular weekly play helps determine preorder priority, with participation points guiding access. Community Yoga at Maymont offers a welcoming, family friendly class at Maymont Park by the Children’s Farm entrance. The practice centers on mindful movement, breath, and meditation, and the series is now in its 11th season and its 9th at Maymont. Please bring a yoga mat, water for the summer heat, and anyone you would like to practice with. Classes are weather dependent. It is pay what or if you can, and proceeds support teacher Michelle Lee Landon and Maymont Park.

A music-meets-bingo game night takes place on the covered patio at The Reserve Restaurant at The Highlands, offering a relaxed, stress-free evening of entertainment. Participation is free. Reservations are highly recommended at 804-796-5805.
