This full-day experience centers on learning, practical resources, and a sense of community for dementia caregivers and their families. Supporting a loved one with dementia can be both loving and demanding, often bringing emotional strain, financial pressures, work challenges, and the ongoing responsibility of helping someone remain safely at home while also keeping a household and career on track. The Caring Hearts Dementia Caregiver Expo brings caregivers, healthcare professionals, community groups, and local services together to help families navigate dementia care with greater confidence and support. It is not a clinical conference or a sales event, but rather a supportive gathering focused on tools that work, emotional well-being, clear resource navigation, and caregiving strategies that can last over time and strengthen families and communities.
Designed with caregivers in mind, the programming speaks to real-world needs such as preventing burnout, tending to mental and emotional health, planning for care, sustaining aging in place, balancing work and family, and understanding the support systems available locally. Attendees can expect educational sessions on dementia-friendly communication, caregiver wellness, and planning for care; easy access to local providers, aging resources, and community organizations; a Caregiver Resource Hub with practical guidance; wellness screenings that include blood pressure and A1C checks; thoughtful conversations about caregiver sustainability, family health, and community networks; and information that supports healthy aging and quality of life for older adults. A special fashion show highlights and honors caregivers, celebrating strength, identity, dignity, and self-worth. The day also creates opportunities to connect with others who understand the caregiving journey and to leave with clear, actionable next steps.
The event welcomes family members currently caring for someone living with dementia, people preparing for future caregiving roles, older adults and families seeking aging and wellness resources, professionals and advocates who serve caregivers and aging communities, and anyone interested in dementia education and caregiver support. It reflects the mission of My Natural Me, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals and families through education, advocacy, wellness, and culturally responsive programming. Through its Dementia Caregivers Support Program, My Natural Me works to ensure caregivers have the language, tools, community support, and wellness resources needed to care for others without losing themselves in the process. The result is a meaningful day of education, connection, support, and community designed to uplift caregivers and strengthen the systems that help families thrive.
