The first hard segment runs from Osborne to Kingsland, about 20 minutes in a rotating paceline, and finishes with a sprint by the Kingsland and WRVA Road corner. After a neutral passage through Battlefield Park and a short stop near Charles City Road, the second effort begins along Charles City Road for roughly 15 minutes, again using a rotating paceline, with a final sprint just before the railroad crossing at Monahan Road. The return to town is at an easier pace. This is a full drop ride. Expect around 15 to 20 mph during neutral sections and 25 mph or more during the efforts. It is intentionally challenging. Riders should have the route saved and be prepared to navigate back on their own if separated from the group. The ride is canceled in the event of rain.
