Wise Concentration: Improving Cognitive Performance – A 4-Part Series

401 Highland Ave SE, Roanoke · verified Aug 2
    See details

This four-part program with Constantine Georgiou and Chris Kessler explores how systematic attention training can sharpen memory, strengthen sustained focus, and reduce susceptibility to distraction. It responds to the widespread pull on human attention by sharing practical knowledge, tools, and exercises that help build steady concentration for longer periods without splitting focus. Participants are also introduced to biofeedback technology they can use after the sessions to continue developing their practice. Across four weekly meetings of 90 minutes each, the series moves from understanding how a concentrated brain functions, to cultivating a stable mind, to working skillfully with distractions, then applying equanimity in everyday life. Deepening concentration is presented as a pathway to greater calm, subtle enjoyment, and a stronger sense of presence both in meditation and throughout the day. All attendees receive guided practice recordings for personal use. The full series is $80, with a weekly drop-in option at $25. Constantine Georgiou, author of Ineffable Refuge and founder of Ineffable, shifted his focus to helping people reclaim clarity and inner stability after selling a tech company and undergoing a significant personal awakening. He draws on ancient wisdom, neuroscience, and research on influence and human behavior to support a grounded and transformative approach. Chris Kessler, a longtime yogi and meditator known for community work in Roanoke, brings a caring presence and has completed this course as part of his daily practice.
