Queer Figure Drawing offers a free, relaxed session at the Together Center where attendees take turns posing for one another. Wear whatever feels right, from everyday outfits to something fancy or a costume. Modeling is optional and each person chooses how long to hold a pose. Participants bring their own drawing supplies, and there is no formal instruction since this is not a class. Please follow community guidelines by asking permission before photographing anyone, and by getting consent before sharing drawings that include recognizable features. Nudity is not allowed. Do not touch other attendees or their artwork without permission. Weekend building access uses the back entrance on the south side so you can be seen and let into the life drawing area. If you arrive at the front doors, go right to the end of the building, then turn left to reach the back entrance. Get students ready for the new school year at a free community event hosted at Evergreen Beauty College’s North Seattle campus. K–12 attendees can receive complimentary haircuts, mini manicures, and mini facials. All services are performed by students under the guidance of a licensed professional. No appointments are needed and everything is offered on a first come, first served basis. Families, friends, and neighbors are welcome.

Now in its second year, this international night market brings food, music, and culture to Juanita Beach Park.
