Neumos presents Papa's Boat Tour with jazz duo Dana and Alden. The Eugene, Oregon pair draw on the spirit of their maternal grandfather, Papa, whose photograph beside his boat Sŵn y Môr, Welsh for Sound of the Sea, inspired their album Papa's Boat. Recorded in London with Malcolm Catto in March 2025, the project spotlights Dana's saxophone and Alden's drums with support from bandmates Ebba Dankel on vocals and keys, Andrew Mitchell on bass, Eli Torgersen on vocals and guitar, and Salim Charvet on sax and synths. Rooted in jazz yet colored by indie, pop, rap, and bossa nova, it moves from the hypnotic blend of sax and buzzing synths on the track Lighthouse to collaborations with Mei Semones, Melanie Charles, and Brazilian songwriter Marcos Valle on El Gaucho and Friendship Is A Boat. The music navigates memories and forward-looking visions while sharing the influence of Papa's adventurous life. All ages are welcome to attend, and those 21 and over may drink with valid ID. STG presents Mount Eerie at The Neptune Theatre, with special guest New Issue. Phil Elverum, who records as Mount Eerie, grew up near Anacortes, Washington, found his community in Olympia’s punk scene, and first released music as the Microphones on the K label. Since 2003 he has worked under the Mount Eerie name, self-releasing his records and remaining steadfastly independent. His songs draw on the surrounding landscape and a sense of place, searching for clarity and wide perspective. This is a general admission event. Purchases are limited to eight tickets per person and per credit card, and orders that exceed the limit may be canceled without notice. All sales are final with no refunds or exchanges. Presented by Snohomish Running Company, this 12th annual event features 5K and 10K courses through Mukilteo's Harbour Pointe neighborhood. It takes place at Kamiak High School.
