Back to the Future takes the big screen by the water as part of Sail-In Cinema, the Port of Everett’s free, family friendly series at Boxcar Park. Now in its 11th season and supported by signature sponsor PND Engineers, this sci-fi favorite is shown on a 40 foot inflatable screen and runs 1 hour and 56 minutes. Guests from the Pacific Northwest DeLorean Club are slated to appear for this screening. Arrive early for kids activities and concessions before the film, then settle in after sunset with complimentary popcorn. Bring low-back chairs or picnic blankets, and plan for cool, sometimes windy evening weather by the water. Boaters can come by water to guest docks at the Port of Everett Marina, with moorage available first come or by reservation through DockWA. A free, family-centered program invites children from birth through age five to explore and play alongside a parent or caregiver. Little ones can make art, hear stories, and sing songs in a welcoming setting that encourages connection and early learning. Sessions take place five days a week at four locations.

In collaboration with the Greater Lake Stevens Chamber of Commerce, the Farmers Market in Lake Stevens brings a summer season of local goods and community activities to North Cove Park. Each market day features a varied mix of vendors serving the community. Shoppers using EBT and SNAP will find programs that help stretch food budgets while supporting area farmers, with more information available at the market information booth. Expect increased pedestrian activity around North Cove Park during market hours. Parking near the park is limited and private lots are enforced, so please follow posted signs and consider street parking along Main Street and nearby streets. Music in the Park returns with a series of five free outdoor concerts at North Cove Park, celebrating community, music, and summer by the lake. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and picnic blankets and to come hungry, as the Lake Stevens Farmers Market takes place alongside each concert. The season features performances by the Lake Stevens Youth Jazz Band, Marysville City Jazz Band, Lake Stevens Community Band, Lake Stevens Jazz Combo, and The Groove Drops. Each concert includes two sets. Special guest oboist Bhavani Kotha, Founder of the Unbound Symphony, appears at select performances. Free and open to everyone.
