Supplies are provided, and a $15 supply fee is included in the class cost. Once finished, you’ll be able to display the flags in your home or garden. The Puget Sound Estuarium and the Deschutes Estuary Restoration Team (DERT) lead a walking loop around the downtown core to trace how Olympia’s shoreline has changed over time. Along the way, participants explore the geologic forces that formed the estuary, the Native tribes who have stewarded these lands, and how the estuary helped shape the city seen today. The stroll also highlights the restoration plan for Capitol Lake and explains why healthy estuaries are vital to ecosystem health.

At the Haagen Food Courst, this fiction critique session invites writers to share short pieces and exchange thoughtful feedback. Bring several copies of a 4 to 6 page work, read it aloud, then listen as the group begins by noting strengths and follows with questions, areas that may be unclear, and constructive suggestions.

This waterfront Latin dance gathering highlights salsa, cumbia, bachata, and merengue. A lesson is led by instructors from SPICY together with Chayanne Montiel, and DJ Santos provides the music.
