Presented by the City of Lacey, the Lacey Night Market transforms the city into an open air marketplace with music, DJ sets, a busy lineup of food trucks, and local businesses showcasing their work. Families relax, children play, and neighbors connect in a welcoming community setting. This edition is themed Latin Night, part of Season 3’s series of culture focused evenings, with an upbeat atmosphere and plenty of ways to support small businesses. Admission is free, it is family friendly, and all ages are welcome. Throughout the season the market expands with more vendors and featured businesses and highlights big themes including Superhero, 80s, Family, Military Appreciation, Juneteenth, Pride, Polynesian, Jersey, K-pop, Summer Jam, Y2K, Country, Fall Fest, and a Haunted Night Market.

Entry is $10. Bring a favorite Champion deck for this weekly tournament and receive a Nexus Night promo pack just for taking part. Matches are one on one in a constructed format, played as best two out of three with 50 minute rounds. Prizes are awarded as store credit. With three rounds scheduled, credit goes to the top three finishers. If there are four or more rounds, any player ending with a record of X-1 or better earns credit. The structure may be adjusted based on community preferences.

Bunco Night takes place on the third Friday of each month and offers an easy-to-learn game that welcomes both newcomers and experienced players. Enjoy lighthearted rounds, meet new people, and share plenty of laughs. The event features friendly competition, prizes, and refreshments. Attendees may bring lucky dice and look forward to a social evening with good company.

Entry is $12. Each participant receives a One Piece booster pack from the sets on hand along with a weekly promo card pack. An extra booster pack from every player is added to the prize pool, and prize placement is determined by attendance.

Explore the fascinating world of microbes through hands-on activities and microscope investigations. Learn how bacteria help decompose waste and discover hardy tardigrades known for enduring the rigors of space. A tour of LOTT’s wastewater treatment plant shows how microbes are used in real-world systems. Tour participants must be at least 10 years old and wear closed-toe, closed-heel shoes.

Love A Pit Bull Day at Heritage Park in Olympia centers on adoption, celebration, and education about the breed. Visitors can meet adoptable dogs, learn helpful information for current and prospective owners, and discover the mission of Covenant Creatures, which sponsors the event. Same-day adoptions may be available for pre-approved adopters. Volunteer opportunities connected to the event are also available.

Sage offers intuitive readings at Radiance Olympia, drawing on more than forty years as a tarot reader along with background in dreamwork, astrology, and professional coaching. Her sessions blend insights from neuroscience and depth psychology to help clients gain clarity about their next steps. She is available on select Saturdays, with both appointments and drop-ins welcome. When not at Radiance Olympia, she meets clients at her studio in Renton. Now in its second year, this back to school market and family resource fair hosted by Messy Mama Co offers a community centered afternoon at the Thurston County Fairgrounds and Event Center. Families can browse local vendors, connect with resource providers, and enjoy kid friendly activities alongside a dedicated wellness zone. Music is provided by DJ Aikibo. There will be school supply giveaways for children and book giveaways. Suggested entry is 5 dollars.

Registration is open for the 4th Annual Memorial Miles, a walk and run honoring 34 fallen officers. East Barrio Night brings the community together to celebrate local businesses, culture, food, and music. The collaborative lineup includes Maggie’s Market, Radio Fryer at the Mason Hotel, Las Palmas, and local vendors. Maggie’s Market hosts a night market with drink specials and live performances. Radio Fryer and the Mason Hotel feature food trucks, games, and additional live music. Las Palmas offers food and a beer garden. The focus is on connection, neighborhood pride, and a shared evening of eating, listening, and shopping.

At Zittel's Marina, underwater lights illuminate the water and draw in a wide variety of estuary creatures for close viewing. Participants can look for fish, anemones, sea stars, sea slugs, and other surprises that appear beneath the pier. Volunteers are available to help locate species, explain what is found, and answer questions. This popular program tends to fill quickly. Admission is $18 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. Community Access Tickets are available at half price or free to ensure everyone can participate, made possible by supporters. Memberships provide discounts on program and event tickets plus a full year of free admission to Puget Sound Estuarium.

Spend a full day exploring the Tellington TTouch method with Debby Potts through demonstrations and step-by-step guidance. Participants gain practical skills in clear communication and in fostering a positive partnership with their dogs. The workshop covers core foundations and can be tailored to individual interests, including common challenges like leash manners, separation anxiety, sensitivity to loud noises, grooming issues, reactivity, and support for senior dogs. Instruction also addresses ways to help dogs after an accident or during illness. Informative handouts are provided, and questions are welcome throughout.

Free rock wall climbing is available for individuals of any age with physical or intellectual special needs. Participants who are blind or have low vision, who are deaf or hard of hearing, or who have Down syndrome, autism and similar conditions are welcome. Opportunities take place at locations across the western United States. Some restrictions may apply, and pre-registration is required.

Experience an inventive jazz set at Eagles Olympia with the Kate Olson Quartet, led by Seattle improvising saxophonist and music educator Kate Olson. A dynamic presence across local, regional and international improvised music circles, she leads projects like KO SOLO and KO Quartet and collaborates with the Royal Room Collective Music Ensemble, Wayne Horvitz ensembles including Electric Circus, Birch Pereira and the Gin Joints, Battlestar Kalakala, and Seattle cabaret producers Can Can Presents and Verlaine & McCann. Her background includes a jazz focused music degree from the University of Wyoming and a master’s in improvisation from the University of Michigan, and she teaches on the jazz faculty at Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Puget Sound. Olson has performed in countries including Russia, Latvia, Turkey, Switzerland, South Korea, Cuba and Slovakia, and has shared the stage with Terry Riley, Pauline Oliveros, Bobby Previte, Skerik, Patricia Barber, Elvis Costello, Brandi Carlile, Sir Mix-a-lot, Seattle Repertory Theater, Cafe Nordo, the Seattle Repertory Jazz Orchestra and Seattle Symphony Pops. The quartet features Kate Olson on saxophone with Conner Eisenmenger on trombone and trumpet, Tim Carey on electric bass and Evan Woodle on drums. A sliding scale contribution of 15 to 35 dollars is suggested, payable by card or cash, and no one is turned away for lack of funds. Olympia Jazz Central supports South Sound jazz through concerts, education, workshops and artist collaborations, and also sponsors a youth scholarship program. The organization is a volunteer run 501c3 that relies on donations to keep the music going.

El Sarape Cantina hosts an open mic led by Kyle Thompson, where musicians and vocalists can share the stage and guests can enjoy drinks and local live performances.

Each week, the Olympia Eagles Ballroom hosts a welcoming salsa dance social featuring the rhythms of salsa, bachata, merengue, cha cha, and cumbia. The evening begins with beginner-friendly Bachata and Salsa ABC series classes, followed by a brief introductory salsa lesson that is included with admission, then transitions into a lively social dance party. It is open to beginners and experienced dancers alike, and no partner is required. General admission is $10 and includes the intro lesson. Class series drop-ins are $25. A 4-week class series is $80. An all-access monthly pass is $125 and includes every social dance, live music night, any workshops, and the class series offered by OlyDance for that month.
