    Free

Mid-Columbia Libraries presents a themed LEGO building contest at Moonshot Brewing, where teams of up to six people create original builds under a 60-minute time limit. This edition features Dinosaur Destruction to mark the wrap-up of the Summer Reading Challenge, inviting scenes that imagine what befell the dinosaurs when they did not embrace reading. Every team receives an identical set of LEGO bricks and may only use those pieces, and each creation must fit completely on a baseplate. Looking at other teams’ builds or searching for instructions online is not allowed. Each team also gets two spins on the LEGO Wheel of Chance to add a twist. Champions will be announced and prizes awarded. There is no cost to participate, and all bricks are provided. To help everyone take part, participants may be grouped into teams and partial teams may have additional members added. Rule breakers face the playful penalty of walking barefoot across a bed of LEGO bricks.
