Barchitects LEGO League

Mid-Columbia Libraries brings a themed LEGO building night to Moonshot Brewing in Kennewick, where creative builds take shape, the wheel is spun, champions are crowned, and prizes are handed out. Teams of up to six compete under the Topsy Turvy theme, encouraging off kilter, upside down, leaning, and delightfully absurd designs. It is free to play and all bricks are supplied. Each team receives an identical set of pieces and must use only what is provided. No extra items or decorations are allowed. Designs must be original, with no peeking at other teams and no online manuals. Every creation must fit entirely on a baseplate. The clock runs for 60 minutes, and each team gets two spins on the LEGO Wheel of Chance. Organizers will work to fill partial teams so more people can participate, which may mean adding players to smaller groups. Those who break the rules face a tongue in cheek consequence... a barefoot stroll across a bed of LEGO bricks.

This event offers a three-game guarantee with a $400 team entry. Saturday features men’s E/R equalizer brackets and women’s E play, which may be combined with D based on turnout, and Sunday is dedicated to coed 6/4. Each division requires at least four teams, and larger fields may be split into separate brackets. Division champions receive their entry fee back plus an additional $50 for every team in that bracket, so a six-team field pays $700 to the winner. In equalizer formats, the top-finishing team from the lower classification also earns a cash prize. Champions take home shirts, and with sufficient participation there may also be MVP and All-Star shirts for first and second place.

Explore Usui Holy Fire III Reiki in a two-day beginner training that combines Levels I and II. This approach is known for being both strong and gentle, emphasizing purification, healing, empowerment, and guidance. By the end of the course, you will hold Level II status and be able to offer Reiki sessions to yourself and to others. The curriculum blends the Western lineage shared by Mrs. Takata with Japanese techniques and Holy Fire energies. You will learn about Reiki’s origins and history, how Reiki energy works, why people become unwell and how Reiki supports healing, the Reiki Ideals, and the human energy system. Instruction covers a complete hand placement method, Gassho meditation, Byosen scanning to sense and address areas in the aura, Reiji-Ho for inner guidance, Kenyoku dry bathing to clear your field, Gyoshi-ho for sending Reiki with the eyes, and distance work. Reiki II symbols are taught in depth, including how to draw, activate, and use them, with discussion of their many applications and meanings. Ample practice time is built in so you can experience how each symbol feels and what it can do. Placements and attunements for Levels I and II are included, and the class weaves lecture, discussion, demonstration, and hands-on practice. Training is led by Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Reiki Master Brandy Peters of Dear Heart Energy Healing & Coaching and Brandy Counseling PLLC, together with Reiki Master and Animal Reiki Practitioner Rena Olson of Wild Spirit Healing. From there it goes up and over Tollgate to Joseph, passing through Elgin and Enterprise. Lunch and fuel are planned in Joseph, followed by a northbound leg from Enterprise to Lewiston through the Rattlesnake mountain range, then a return home to finish the loop.

All kinds of art supplies are welcome, and everything placed out is free to take. Please bring items that are clean, functional, and packaged in a bag, box, can, or other container. Include instructions if an item requires them. Once supplies are on the tables they are available to everyone. Take only what you will use and leave plenty for others. Rascal Rodeo's Adaptive Rodeo - Kennewick, Washington

An inclusive rodeo at Benton County Fairgrounds in Kennewick features safe, adapted activities that help participants of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities experience the fun of being a cowboy or cowgirl. Admission is free, made possible by the host venue. Online registration is required for every participant and volunteer, and each person must complete their own registration, including the electronic release. When supplies allow, participants may receive a buckle to take home. Siblings are not considered participants, though they may be able to try activities when capacity permits, and they will not receive the free items that are distributed. Families and other spectators are welcome to cheer for the cowboys and cowgirls. Volunteers of all ages can help as long as their focus remains on the participants and they do not need supervision themselves. Horse handlers and side walkers must be at least 18. Roles range from writing name tags and handing out shirts to riding a stick horse, taking photos, or helping with the pretend cow. Closed toe shoes are required unless a health issue prevents them. Participants and volunteers are encouraged to wear the shirts provided at check in and to leave extra items at home. Eligibility is determined by the parent or guardian for individuals of any age with developmental or physical disabilities. Registered attendees will receive a final information email before the event.

The Warrior Brotherhood MC Washington Chapter presents a Veterans Benefit Poker Run that begins at Rattlesnake Mountain HD. Focused on camaraderie and honoring those who served, this ride channels community support into direct help for veterans. Participants can play for 20 dollars per hand, with the option to redraw one card at each stop for 5 dollars. Prizes are awarded for both high and low hands, and the day also features a 50/50 raffle and a silent auction. The event welcomes riders of baggers, cruisers, sport bikes, and trikes, along with community supporters of the cause. Each mile adds to the effort to support local veterans.
