This 19th annual, multicultural, pay-as-able arts gathering brings the community together to honor ancestors, grieve what has been lost, and imagine a shared future. Participants can create art, share spoken reflections, build visual tributes for loved ones and causes, wear skeleton-themed attire, symbolically release Rotten Ideas, and take part in drumming, a march, and dancing. The program features an arrival with Oasis del Norte, face painting, display viewing, and hands-on crafting. An opening includes music by Breanne Marie alongside the Jillian Forte Ceremony/Funeral. Later, Rotten Ideas are burned at the Pavilion before a procession around the Library with a brass band. Spin Collective presents fire dancing with drums, and the gathering concludes in the Great Hall with dancing and teardown to the Boys Back Home brass. Preparation happens on the Great Hall balcony, and a dedicated Spoken Word session is held in Studio 4. Teardown follows the main gathering with additional time set aside. Support comes in part from Minnesota voters through organizational grants from the Arrowhead Regional Arts Council, thanks to appropriations from the Minnesota State Legislature’s general and arts and cultural heritage funds. The session highlights traditional motifs, the meanings of colors, and stories associated with the eggs. Instruction covers the wax-resist method step by step. Participants use a kistka to draw with melted wax on egg shells, dye in a light color, add more wax, then repeat with additional colors. When all layers are finished, the wax is melted away to reveal a bright, layered design.

Tap on Tower hosts a monthly Stern Army pinball tournament featuring a three-strike, group knockout format. Players are randomly grouped into foursomes, and the bottom two in each group receive a strike. Play continues until a single winner remains. The current lineup includes Foo Fighters (pro), Deadpool (pro), Stanger Things (pro), James Bond (pro), Avengers: Infinity Quest (pro), Jurassic Park (pro), and Uncanny X-Men (pro).
