This Friday Night Magic Commander event features a $7 entry fee. Participants receive a pack and a promo while supplies last. Pods are organized into two categories, Casual-Competitive for brackets 1 through 3 and CEDH for brackets 4 and 5. Each week, the winning pod earns $15 in store credit. Guided by Horicon Marsh Bird Club Vice President Brad Webb and Board Member Michael Bingham, this birding outing explores Mayville’s Ziegler Park in search of early fall migrants. The park features mature woodland along the east branch of the Rock River and a 1.5 mile nature trail, with 174 species recorded on eBird. Participants will meet at the baseball field parking lot within Ziegler Park.

Now in its sixth year, this festival brings food trucks and an art fair to Oven Island in Lakeside Park, hosted by Friends of Lakeside Park in partnership with the Fond du Lac Artists’ Association. As many as 40 food trucks are expected, serving a broad mix of flavors such as Thai, Caribbean, Mexican, barbecue, sandwiches, and desserts. Local artists will showcase and sell their work, including paintings, ceramics, jewelry, and more. Enjoy live music under the Main Shelter and find beverages offered by the Fond du Lac Softball Association. Families will discover plenty to do with bouncy houses, face painting, balloon twisting, rock painting, and other kid-friendly activities. Several local nonprofit animal organizations will be on site to share information about their work. A 50/50 raffle will be available, with tickets offered at the two Welcome Tents and the Fundraising Tent. Bottled water will be sold for $1 at these locations. Admission is free and no tickets are required.

Bo’s Heavenly Clubhouse offers a supportive gathering for children and teens who have experienced the death of a loved one. Designed for ages 6 to 18, this one hour session is open to those navigating any type of loss and is completely free. Most meetings take the form of hands-on workshops with a focus on music therapy and art therapy, giving participants space to process feelings in creative ways without pressure to talk. While the group is in session, parents, grandparents, and guardians can receive a complimentary drink or dinner at Higher Grounds. The group meets above Higher Grounds Coffee Shop at Bo’s Heavenly Clubhouse and is offered every third Monday of the month. Registration is required.

This play-focused session features large motor skill development equipment suitable for infants through six-year-olds. Depending on the weather, activities may take place in the side yard for outdoor play. Snacks are provided.
