This family-friendly event supports the foundation’s grant program, with all proceeds benefitting its community grants. Runners can take on a timed 5K that starts and finishes at the fair park, with awards for the top three men and top three women. The two-mile walk welcomes all ages and follows the same start and finish. For those who prefer not to run or walk, the Zero K option includes the event shirt, giveaway items, and a complimentary beer for participants 21 and older. Zero K participants gather at the starting line, then head to the beer tent for their drink. Afterward, Gemuetlichkeit Days offers a full slate of activities to enjoy.

Spring Grove Cemetery hosts a work day continuing the effort to upright, restore, and clean headstones. Now in its sixth year, this restoration project includes tasks that do not all require physical strength, with opportunities to help with cleaning as well. New waivers must be signed before work begins, and project leads Mark Wendorf and Ryan Schroeder will handle this and are the leads on the project. Participants can speak with Mark or Ryan to see where help is needed, and anyone interested in cleaning headstones can talk with Jennifer for inspiration. Work typically takes place most Saturdays May through October, weather permitting. Sleep in Heavenly Peace Edgerton is hosting a hands-on bed build that brings community members together to support local children who do not have a bed. Volunteers will take on tasks like sanding, drilling, putting frames together, and applying stain in a positive and supportive setting. No prior building experience is needed, and all tools, training, and guidance are provided. Whether you help for a short while or stay for the full event, your efforts will contribute to building about 40 beds so more children can sleep safely and comfortably.

The course setup plays to roughly par 41, and it is the kind of round that will have you reaching for nearly every club in the bag. Entry is $40 for members and $80 for non members, payable in cash at the event. Registration includes the cross country round, flag prizes, skins automatically included for all teams, lunch, and drinks. Teams compete in a two person scramble with a minimum combined Handicap Index of 12. Prizes go to the top three teams, with payout amounts based on the size of the field. The day features registration and a silent auction to open, a shotgun start, lunch with the Packers game on, and a later announcement of auction winners. Every entry helps fund Project Kosh and future capital improvements at Koshkonong Mounds.
