Self-Directed Community Forum - Self-Advocates & Family Members
Anchorage Self-Directed Community Forum explores how self-directed services can expand choice, flexibility, and independence for Alaskans. In a self-directed model, participants choose their supports and providers, and decide how and when services are delivered. The forum features two sessions designed for different audiences. One centers on families and self-advocates, including individuals with disabilities, elders, relatives, and supporters, who will share experiences, needs, and ideas about what self-directed services could look like in Alaska. The other is for service providers, care coordinators, and related professionals to discuss opportunities, challenges, and ways self-direction can support person-centered care across the state. Feedback gathered at this event will help shape the future of self-directed services in Alaska.

BOSCO'S One-Piece Weekly

Bosco's Comics Cards & GamesOptional Part 2 Class-Psychedelic Salmon-June 15th
This is the final class offered before fall and it serves as an optional second session for anyone who has already done a paint pour at The Art Lounge. Additional paint pouring dates can be found in the Classes section. Bring your previous pours and choose one to transform into a shimmering Susitna mountain scene. Turn it into a sun, a moon, or even a rogue planet above the peaks, with the option to add trees or an Anchorage cityscape. All supplies are provided except the pour you bring, and your artwork should be dry enough to take home by the end of the session. Beverages and snacks are welcome. Participants must be 10 or older. If you are not feeling well, please take credit for a later class to support everyone’s health. For questions or to reschedule, text or call Jamie at 907-715-0113.
