Find Your Inner Compass: Centering, Grounding & Shielding Practices

Before exploring the unknown, protection comes first. This hands-on workshop with paranormal investigator Matthew Brown teaches three core skills for fieldwork: centering to sharpen focus and manage personal energy before an investigation, grounding to release excess energy and reconnect with the present after intense encounters, and shielding to build personal protection from harmful energies. The approach draws on traditions found across many cultures throughout history. Instruction focuses on practical methods that can be applied immediately in the field and is suitable for beginners and experienced investigators alike. It is designed for anyone who has felt overwhelmed, drained, or uncertain during an investigation and wants reliable tools to stay balanced and protected.

Introduction to The Spirit Box Portal Presented by Michael Fox

Paranormal investigator Michael Fox leads a hands-on workshop on The Portal, a widely discussed approach to spirit communication that refines audio from spirit boxes and compatible paranormal apps so potential EVP voices stand out without the usual sweeping and static. Developed by Steve Huff of Huff Paranormal and inspired by George Brown’s GeoBox, The Portal is designed to clean, enhance, and isolate incoming signals rather than generate its own sweep. Fox explains the theory and construction of the system, including how effects pedals shape the signal, how the amplifier manages tone and volume to create the session’s sound environment, and how a copper coil antenna is believed to let the user’s body function as an antenna for communication. He also covers Spirit Thought Transference and shares why this method is his choice for ghost box sessions, with live demonstrations that let participants hear the device in action and explore current techniques for clearer responses. This workshop takes place at Deep South Para-Comi-Con at the Enterprise Civic Center.

EVP: Electronic Voice Phenomena Workshop

At Enterprise Civic Center, this immersive workshop explores Electronic Voice Phenomena and welcomes both newcomers and experienced investigators. Guided by Richard and Colleen Johnson of Ethereal Voices Paranormal EVP, the session explains how investigators capture, review, and interpret unusual voices that may be present in audio recordings. Participants will listen to examples in real time, get familiar with tools commonly used in the field, practice techniques to improve clarity of potential spirit responses, and learn ways to separate normal background noise from possible communication. Hands-on experiments encourage careful listening so attendees can strengthen their skills and tune their ears to details that are easy to miss.

Cryptid Encounters

Presented by Dr Leitreanna Terry-Brown, this program opens a window into the unexplained as experienced paranormal researchers delve into cryptids, enigmatic beings, and unusual encounters from around the world. The discussion spans Bigfoot and Dogman reports, shadow figures, and timeworn legends, drawing on eyewitness testimony, historical sources, and the ideas that seek to explain them. It also highlights how folklore intersects with paranormal activity and outlines investigative approaches used in the field. It leaves a lingering question to consider... not only what was witnessed, but what might have been there when no one was expected to be present.

Science in the Supernatural Workshop

Curious about psychic abilities, whether you doubt them or trust they exist? This live, interactive parapsychology workshop turns the room into a working lab where attendees take part in experiments that explore intuition and extrasensory perception. Investigate telepathy as the sharing of thoughts and images, examine clairvoyance with a guided remote viewing segment that includes references to the CIA’s Stargate Program, and consider psychokinesis as the focused influence of physical objects. Try structured ESP assessments with Zener cards and probability-based trials, and look at near-death experiences through recurring patterns reported across cultures. Rather than a talk alone, the session features hands-on activities, including a real-time ESP card test and a step-by-step remote viewing exercise, so concepts are experienced as well as discussed. The aim is to offer a direct, personal window into human perception and consciousness, encouraging thoughtful conversation for skeptics, believers, and the simply curious. The Making of Bourbon Spirits with Keith Age

Paranormal investigator and television host Keith Age offers a candid, behind-the-scenes look at how Bourbon Spirits is made, from scouting haunted locations and planning fieldwork to examining findings and shaping them into compelling stories for the screen. The session is interactive, inviting participants to review actual investigation materials, listen to and interpret EVP recordings, vote on the authenticity of selected clips, and work through case study breakdowns and what would you do scenarios. An open Q&A runs throughout, covering memorable investigations, unexplained moments, and the techniques used to tell genuine anomalies apart from natural causes, equipment issues, or misinterpretations. Behind-the-scenes insights not shown on television round out the presentation. Attendance requires both an admission ticket and a workshop ticket, which is included for VIP pass holders.
