Family events in Enterprise, AL

Friends of Army Aviation hosts helicopter rides for graduating classes, their families and friends, and the general public. Passengers board a historic UH-1H Huey, and flights are conducted with the doors open. Operations continue until everyone waiting has flown or until sunset, and they may end earlier depending on demand, so arriving early is recommended to secure a seat. If planning to arrive later, call ahead and ask for Karyn to confirm availability. Youth riders ages 2 to 17 may participate with restrictions, and ages 16 to 17 can fly without an accompanying adult with written permission from a parent or guardian.

An open horse show kicks off the 2027 show season, beginning with halter classes. Concessions will be available on site, including the well known hand dipped milkshakes. The event also includes the first tack sale and swap, offering a place to sell tack and show clothing, shop for new items, and enjoy fellowship with fellow horse enthusiasts.

A relaxed family night features board and tabletop games, video games, time around a campfire, and a respectful flag retirement ceremony. There is no cost to attend and everyone is welcome.
