Raised in a musical family, she is the daughter of Earl Cate of the Cate Brothers Band and Earl and Them. Early on she performed with Earl’s Garage alongside her brother, Devin, playing venues from Tulsa to Beale Street. A founding member of Divas On Fire, she now fronts her own band and also appears in an acoustic electric trio that offers a more intimate version of the full-band experience while carrying the Cate family legacy forward.

Now in its 21st year, this lighthearted contest of speedy short-legged dogs embraces a Hairy Potter theme. The event takes place at Barksdale, the former golf course just north of Allen’s Foods and Sugar Creek Shopping Center. Dachshunds and corgis go head to head in the headline races, with additional heats welcoming other breeds that want to participate. The schedule also features a musical sit game where the last dog seated wins, a costume contest open to all breeds, K9 demonstrations, and a lively mix of pet vendors, local food trucks, giveaways, and more. An intimate benefit concert at Walmart AMP raises support for arts education through Walton Arts Center. Seating is reserved through donations, and each gift helps bring live performing arts to more than 26,000 students and educators across Northwest Arkansas and beyond each year. Space is limited. Hosted by Schuber Mitchell Homes, this first Love Running Home race takes place at The Pines Community in Bentonville, Arkansas. The event features a 1 mile fun run and a 5K, both welcoming participants of all ages with separate male and female divisions. Registration is $10 for the fun run and $25 for the 5K. Insight Firearms Training teams up with the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s First Shots program to offer a beginner friendly introduction to safe, recreational firearm use and core marksmanship skills at Lonesome Oak Guns & Range. Taught by credentialed instructors, the class provides hands-on instruction with a mix of one-on-one and group learning, builds a solid foundation in shooting fundamentals, and includes an overview of shooting sports with options for every level of interest. Attendees also get a straightforward walkthrough of local rules for firearm ownership and purchasing, plus guidance on how and where to continue training after the session. All essentials are provided, including class materials, eye and ear protection, a firearm, and ammunition.

At Benton County Fair and Expo Center, the It's Fall Y'all Craft Fair marks its tenth anniversary with special anniversary activities spread across four days. Momentous brings two days of art, music, and food to Northwest Arkansas, featuring electronic music, live DJ sets, and dancing. Two day passes are available in multiple tiers. The Artist-Blacksmith’s Association of North America is hosting a Blacksmithing Conference and Festival at the Benton County Fairgrounds outside Bentonville, Arkansas. Attendees can watch live blacksmithing demonstrations, take part in hands-on forging activities, and visit a special area for kids. The event also features tailgating for buying, selling, and trading, a variety of vendors, educational workshops and lectures, and a popular art auction. The fairgrounds sit about four miles from Northwest Arkansas National Airport and offer ample parking, five acres for tent camping, RV hookups, and plenty of space for all activities. When purchasing tickets, choose the admission type that fits your plans, add family members if they are coming along, and include camping, RV parking, or tailgating space if needed. Saturday night buffet dinner tickets are available as an add-on. Event merchandise can be pre-ordered to ensure availability since on-site quantities will be limited.

Loop de Loop is back with a noncompetitive ride where participants choose the loops they want and celebrate at the finish. Staging takes place at the Lake Ann dam near Pinion Creek Falls in Bella Vista. The biggest challenge begins on Sugar Bridge Trail, continues with a full clockwise lap of Tunnel Vision, returns to the dam via Sugar Bridge, then heads out for a clockwise lap of the Back 40. Riders can also opt to complete only the Tunnel Vision loop or only the Back 40 loop. Support with food and water will be available at the Lake Ann dam, and additional aid locations on the Tunnel Vision and Back 40 routes are being considered. eBikes are welcome, running is allowed, and swapping bikes between loops is permitted. Support plans to wrap up around sunset, and more distance options may be added.
