Loop de Loop returns to Bella Vista with multiple ride options, a dedicated hiking route, and finish-line festivities, all focused on building new trail for the community. For the first time, this traditionally free gathering includes a registration fee, and every dollar goes directly to the professional construction of a new green trail on the west side of Bella Vista. This is structured as a ride rather than a race, encouraging personal challenge, mutual support, and a shared experience on local singletrack. There are several cycling distances and e-bike categories, and there is no requirement to cover 50 miles to take part. Riders and hikers are encouraged to choose the option that matches their preparation and experience. The Megaloop covers roughly 65 miles with more than 6,400 feet of climbing and added technical mileage for experienced, well-prepared participants seeking a demanding day. The Classic Loop de Loop spans about 50 miles with around 5,500 feet of climbing through Tunnel Vision and Back 40, delivering the original, rigorous experience. The Tunnel Vision Loop is approximately 28 miles with over 3,000 feet of climbing, combining punchy climbs, switchbacks, and rewarding descents at a shorter distance than the Classic. The Back 40 Loop is about 22 miles with more than 2,000 feet of climbing, offering a memorable tour of classic Northwest Arkansas singletrack without the longer commitment. The Mini Loop is approximately 16 miles with around 1,500 feet of climbing and provides a shorter but meaningful outing on Bella Vista trails with a rewarding finish. The Mini Loop does not include an aid station, so participants must carry their own hydration, nutrition, and essential supplies. Hike de Loop covers approximately 13.2 miles through It’ll Bluff Out, Blowing Springs, and Back 40, giving hikers a way to share the challenge and finish-line experience while supporting the same project. Registration directly funds the proposed Lago Vista West extension, which is planned to add about 5,000 linear feet of professionally designed and constructed green beginner-tech-flow trail with sustainable grades and drainage, approachable flow, predictable sightlines, and professionally built creek bridges. The goal is to create a welcoming progression opportunity on Bella Vista’s west side that helps newer riders and families build confidence while remaining enjoyable and durable. FAST will not retain any portion of registration fees for organizational operations.

Insight Firearms Training partners with the National Shooting Sports Foundation’s First Shots program to present an approachable introduction at Lonesome Oak Guns & Range. Designed for newcomers, this session emphasizes safe, responsible recreational use of firearms and the fundamentals of marksmanship. Certified trainers provide hands-on instruction in both individual and group formats, explain local requirements for firearm ownership and purchasing, and outline the many ways to get involved in shooting sports at any interest level. Participants also receive direction on how to continue their training after the class. All essentials are included, such as course materials, eye and ear protection, a firearm, and ammunition.

Celebrate the season with a full lineup of holiday activities. The day features a Tour of Homes presented by the Prairie Grove Heritage Museum and Historical Society, a cozy Cocoa Crawl hosted by downtown merchants and the Prairie Grove Chamber of Commerce, a festive Christmas parade, and a community party immediately after the parade. Santa and Mrs. Claus will be greeting visitors at The American Legion, with refreshments provided by The American Legion Post 146 Prairie Grove. Those who wish to participate in the parade can enter floats, classic cars, horseback riders, or dance groups. Everyone taking part must check in at the designated elementary school entrance before the lineup. Advance registration is required to be included in live announcements and trophy judging. Late or unregistered entries will be placed at the back of the parade and are not eligible for judging, trophies, or announcements. For safety, the procession moves at walking speed. Santa and Mrs. Claus costumes are not permitted within parade entries. Awards will be presented for Best Decorated, Most Original, Best Lights, and Best Overall.
