Kay’s Sweet CakesCathartic Breathing: Feel your Feelings
A supportive breathwork experience designed for anyone feeling emotionally stuck or holding feelings inside. Through a specific practice of conscious connected breathing, participants explore, process, and integrate emotions that may have been stored in the body. Breathwork is sometimes compared to psychedelic experiences, yet you remain in control. If letting go feels difficult at first, continued practice can make it more accessible. Life events, whether large or small, can be fully processed or held in the body. Many people restrict the breath to avoid intense feelings, which can also narrow energy and the experience of life. Breathing fully can reach the places where emotions are stored so they can rise, release, and make room for a lighter feeling and a fuller breath. Expect a safe, supportive group setting with the entire session spent lying down. There is no movement and it is not a yoga class. Emotional release, including tears, can occur. Bring a pillow, a blanket, and water, and wear comfortable clothing. This class is limited to 15 people and the fee is $30. The group format is not recommended for individuals with heart problems, asthma, or severe mental disorders. Those conditions call for one-on-one guidance with an experienced leader.
