The BDB100 Training Ride Program helps Arkansas cyclists get ready for the annual Big Dam Bridge 100 while building connections with fellow riders, clubs, and local bike shops. It emphasizes community and aims to make group riding feel comfortable and approachable for participants at different experience levels. Riders are organized by goals and ability for the 26 and 50 mile routes. Beginners with little experience start in Group 4. Group 3 serves those with some riding under their belt who are new to group dynamics and plan to complete the 26 mile course. Group 2 is designed for recreational cyclists who ride weekly and want to finish the 50 mile course or improve their time on the 26. Group 1 focuses on pacing, fueling, and coordinated pace line skills, preparing riders to complete the 50 mile route with the possibility of stretching to 75 miles. The program features a kickoff meeting at Lost 40 Brewing, then training rides every other Saturday departing from Murray Park. The progression leads to a dress rehearsal at the Young Life River Classic and finishes with the BDB100 event. Registration costs $50, is capped at 120 riders, and requires a minimum age of 12. All experience levels are welcome, and no photography background is required. Recommended for ages 12 and up. A youth tabletop roleplaying camp presented by The Dojo at the Outlets of Little Rock invites ages 10 to 15 to explore Dungeons & Dragons in a welcoming setting. Participants learn the essentials through character creation, collaborative storytelling, roleplay, problem solving, and group decision making. Each camper builds a hero, joins a party, and ventures through a continuing storyline designed so a child can attend for a single day or enjoy the full week. No prior experience is needed. Every participant receives a basic set of dice and all materials required to play. Campers may bring their own snack, and a snack option is available on site. Capacity is limited to six campers to keep the table focused and interactive. Pricing options include a Day Pass for $35 and a Week Pass for $150. BingoFlix marks the 25th anniversary of Shrek with a special screening that adds bingo inspired by the film and prize giveaways. Seating is general admission, so early arrival is recommended to choose a seat. Beer, wine, and concessions will be available. Back-to-School Bash
Celebrate the new school year at a Back-to-School Bash presented in partnership with the Museum of Discovery and the CALS Children’s Library. Enjoy family friendly music from DJ Chad as prize drawings are announced, and sign up on site for giveaways featuring gift cards from Bath & Body Works, H&M, Victoria’s Secret | PINK, Miniso, and Mr Brews Taphouse. Winners must be present. Activities include a back-to-school fashion show, an Animal Encounter and the Awesome Science Show from the Museum of Discovery, free face painting, and community booths. The CALS Children’s Library will share information on free after school and community programs and lead a hands-on craft. The first 250 shoppers will receive free Dippin’ Dots. As part of the 250 Acts of Community activation, school supplies collected through community donations will be presented to Terry Elementary School to support local students and families.

Across the Windgate Art School studios, participants can explore food-themed art activities, make artwork with artist Laura Tanner, take in a set of music and dance by mömandpöp, and watch intricate cake decorating demonstrations. Presented alongside AMFA’s exhibition A Month of Sundays: Art and the Persistence of Time, the day highlights how cooking and shared meals strengthen connections across generations. Best suited for ages 4 and older. Support is provided in part by the John and Robyn Horn Foundation and Art Bridges. Both Teen titles are open to participants from all counties. The four titleholders advance to the state competitions in Little Rock.
