Interviews with people who knew her and leading experts, combined with thoughtful commentary and close study of her art, offer an intimate view of her world, including glimpses of her home and studio, and illuminate the sources of her creativity, resilience, and drive for beauty and transformation. Created in close collaboration with scholars and those close to Kahlo, it also features new material from curators of the Tate Britain and MFA Houston exhibition. An annual gathering opens its doors for witches, mystics, and other midnight wanderers to share an evening of glamour, ritual, and revelry. In its inaugural year, The AlchemyXXII Witches’ Ball is themed The Midnight Society, an immersive Samhain gala where magic lingers, music carries into the night, and the boundary between worlds feels thin. The night includes a guided court dance inspired by Regency ball traditions, tarot and other divination experiences, immersive performances unfolding throughout the venue, a midnight ritual aligned with Samhain energy, and dancing late with the Midnight Society. Attire follows Occult Aristocracy, Dark Regency, or Witch Court Glamour, with suggested touches like velvet, lace, crowns, capes, masks, and decadent witchy elegance. The setting is Downtown Little Rock with the specific venue to be revealed, and tickets will be released soon. This society gathers only once each year.

A 4D barrel race features Open, Youth, and Peewee divisions. Exhibitions are available for five dollars each, and one exhibition is free with the donation of a toy or clothing. A featured teaching session called What Hoodoo Is explores the tradition’s history, purpose, and significance within African American communities, highlighting the roles of root doctors, granny midwives, herbalists, prayer warriors, healers, and community caretakers, and why carrying this knowledge forward matters for future generations. Built by volunteers, vendors, educators, musicians, artists, healers, storytellers, families, and community members, the event emphasizes collective effort and connection.
