Extension Office specialists lead a workshop at the local brewery focused on growing plants and raising livestock in the River Valley, with an eye toward strengthening the Natural State and the many things that make it thrive. The session highlights the Extension Office as a public resource available at no cost, offering support for a wide range of gardening and animal-care needs. As part of a monthly seminar series, it showcases services the office provides and introduces classes on topics people might not think to explore. Now in its third year, this memorial car show honors Terri Kitching, a beloved presence in the local car community, and runs alongside the Chaffee Crossing food and artisan market for a family-friendly day of cars, vendors, and community spirit. Awards feature custom painted art by Dan Keys, and categories include the Tks carnet award, people’s choice, the Chaffee Crossing pick, and class recognitions for trucks, hot rods, rat rods, classic cars, muscle cars from 1999 and earlier, modern muscle from 2000 and newer, imports, special interest vehicles, 4x4s, and small wheels such as power wheels and bicycles. Coughrans hosts its ninth annual auto show in Downtown Van Buren. This community gathering focuses on automobiles, giving attendees a chance to see vehicles up close and connect with fellow fans.

The Flexing Down 49 Tour brings a PDGA sanctioned Flex Start C-Tier stop to Barling Disc Golf Course in Barling, Arkansas. Players compete in a rated round to earn tour points tied to their round rating, building toward a finale with major payouts. Details for the official leaderboard and rules will be announced. All players must check in with the Tournament Director before teeing off. Cards are set at check in, course rules are covered, and anyone who begins play without TD confirmation is subject to disqualification without a refund. Registration is offered online or on site, with online preregistration preferred and a chance to be included in Closest-To-The-Pin challenges for those who meet the preregistration cutoff. Entry is $30, with $17 going to the event purse, $8 to fees, and $5 directed to the tour’s finale payout. An optional $5 ace pot is available. Players entered in the ace pot who record a hole in one during competition share the pot. If no aces are hit, it rolls to the next Arkansas Flex Start event. Payout uses $17 from each entry and awards the top 45 percent of each division following the PDGA payout scale. Pro divisions are paid in cash or digitally after the event. Amateur players receive merchandise credit redeemable at the on site Disc Golf Dojo pro shop. Payouts are posted after all rounds are complete and can be redeemed the same day or at a future Disc Golf Dojo event. Amateur credits expire two years after they are issued. An additional Flex Start Doubles option runs alongside singles play. Doubles is unsanctioned, offers Pro and Am divisions, and has its own ace pot. Teams register under a single entry with both player names, keep score through a UDisc event, and payouts go to the top third of each division, with cash for Pros and store credit for Ams.
