Grand Finale Weekend wraps up the Northeastern Oklahoma Region SCCA 2026 season with Events 11 and 12 at Davis Field in Muskogee. Drivers will make at least six runs, with eight runs common, and free fun runs are offered after the Saturday competition. Each day follows a familiar flow, beginning with site opening, then tech inspection, a course walk and orientation, a required drivers’ meeting for competitors, cars moving to grid with worker check-in, and the first car heading out. Celebrate the 100th birthday of Route 66 with a free concert featuring Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys, presented as part of the Route 66 Centennial Celebration in the Tulsa Arts District. Enjoy an evening of western swing led by frontman and fiddler Jason Roberts. The band carries a legacy that began in 1933, when Bob Wills and fellow musicians left the Light Crust Doughboys to form Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys. Their danceable blend became known as western swing, and the group grew into a widely popular touring and recording act across the country. After Wills’ death in 1975, former Playboys led by Leon McAuliffe kept the sound alive until disbanding in 1986 following the passing of pianist Al Stricklin. With the support of the Bob Wills estate, guitarist-producer Tommy Allsup and vocalist Leon Rausch later guided Bob Wills’ Texas Playboys until 2018. Today the tradition continues under two-time Grammy winner Jason Roberts, selected by the Wills estate and Rausch, alongside musicians from Oklahoma and Texas including Steve Ham, Mike Bennett, Tony Ramsey, Shawn Howe, Wayne Glasson, Dave Biller, Albert Quaid, and Larry Reed.

The workshop concludes with a shared meal and time to reflect and connect. No cooking experience is required. Admission is free. Space is reserved for Indigenous relatives. Fort Gibson Historic Site celebrates its annual winter tradition with Gingerbread Bake Day, featuring the head baker working an authentic 1860s oven to produce oversized gingerbread cookies ready for 19th century inspired decorating. Decorating takes place in the pre-Civil War Commissary, where stations offer candies popular in the 1800s such as cherry licorice laces, spice drops, peppermint medallions, and candied chocolate. Because the wood fired oven is historic, baking moves at a measured pace and batches come out periodically. The atmosphere is relaxed and family friendly, and the Bakehouse closes to visitors toward the end of the bake to preserve oven heat. Cookies are available while supplies last and may be purchased to decorate on site or as take home kits, both priced at $7. On site cookies are sold in the Commissary and include all station supplies. Take home kits include a gingerbread cookie and the same supplies found at the stations, except frosting, and are sold in the 1870s Hospital visitor center. This program is first come, first served and supplies cannot be held. The Commissary and the 1870s Hospital visitor center are on the same block with the magazine and the 1860s Bakehouse between them.
