    Sound Bath Experience

The Healing Hub, 1106 N Anita Ave, Tucson · verified Oct 9
    See details

At The Healing Hub in Tucson, this relaxing sound bath invites a gentle pause from daily noise through a soothing blend of crystal and metal singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and other instruments. The session unfolds as a gradual sound journey that helps participants settle in, slow down, and reconnect with themselves. No prior experience with meditation or sound baths is needed, and each gathering feels a little different based on the instruments, facilitators, and the energy in the room. Participants are invited to rest comfortably on a yoga mat, close their eyes, and allow the vibrations to move through the space. Bringing a yoga mat, a blanket, and a pillow or bolster can enhance comfort, and mats are available on site at no extra cost. Because the room can feel cooler while lying still, a light blanket is recommended. Accessibility is a priority. Lying on the floor is not required, and reclining chairs can be reserved in advance for anyone who has difficulty getting down to or up from the floor, experiences limited mobility, or needs additional support. Guests who use a pacemaker or hearing device, or who have other accessibility needs, are encouraged to share that information ahead of time so the team can prepare the space. Doors open before the session, allowing time to enjoy complimentary tea, settle in without rushing, connect with others, and explore The Healing Hub. Visitors can browse the Crystal Gallery’s selection of crystals, jewelry, Egyptian perfumes, spices, vitamins, wellness products, structured water, and more, and learn about experiences available in the Energy Enhancement System Room. Ticket options include $30 Early Bird, $35 General Admission, and $40 at the door, with door sales dependent on availability. Service fees may apply to online purchases. Advance reservations are recommended since space is limited and Early Bird tickets may sell out. Photos and video may be captured for promotional use; those who prefer not to be photographed or recorded can let the team know upon arrival. Refunds are available up to 7 days before the scheduled session. Within 7 days, contact the team before the start time to request a one time transfer to another available date of the same experience. If feeling unwell, do not attend; reach out before the event begins to arrange a transfer. No refunds or transfers are provided for no shows or for requests made after the session has started.

    Tire Rack Street Survival

Kino Sports Complex, 2500 E Ajo Way, Tucson · verified Oct 9
    See details

At Kino Sports Complex in Tucson, the Tire Rack Street Survival school offers practical, behind-the-wheel training for teen drivers. Participants use their own vehicles to explore handling limits, practice sound decision making, build awareness, and learn to anticipate the behavior of other road users. The program is designed to develop skills that promote safety on the road. The fee is $175. The day combines classroom instruction with coached driving. Students spend roughly two hours across three classroom sessions, then devote the remaining time to in-car exercises with an instructor. Driving drills mirror everyday hazards, including skid recovery on a wet skid pad, quick lane changes for collision avoidance, threshold braking with ABS, and a slalom to understand weight transfer. When possible, the curriculum adds a two-wheels-off recovery and a tailgating exercise. Classroom topics cover proper seating and hand placement, mirror setup, tire contact patches, the physics of weight transfer, using long-range vision, and overall situational awareness. Instructors also address distractions such as radios, phones, and carrying multiple teen passengers. Some sites stage a semi truck with cars positioned around it to demonstrate blind spots, allowing students and accompanying adults to sit in the cab and observe limited visibility. There may also be an airbag deployment demonstration to reinforce safe hand positions. It is a full-day format, and lunch is provided for students, parents, and volunteers along with educational demonstrations during the break. Parents are encouraged to spend the day and may attend the classroom portions, and instructors are available throughout to answer questions about each activity.

    Sculpt: Making Space

Jewish Community Center, 3800 E River Rd, Tucson · verified Oct 9
    Free

An annual sculpture-focused gathering at the Tucson J centers on the theme Making Space. It serves as the reception for the indoor exhibition and a welcome to newly installed works in the Jill Rosenzweig Memorial Sculpture Garden. Expect live music from Baja Caravan and Annie Anna, food by Humble board, and opportunities to meet the artists. The theme explores how meaningful places are created with intention, drawing on the Jewish story of the Mishkan as a communal space for presence and connection, and inviting reflection on what we choose to surround ourselves with and why. Set during the quiet month of Cheshvan after the High Holidays, the garden setting encourages unhurried wandering, conversations with artists, and consideration of what it means to live with art rather than simply encounter it. With music, artist conversations, and refreshments, the space becomes one of exploration and connection. Admission is free and registration is encouraged. Guests may drop in briefly or linger at their own pace, contributing to a collective mishkan rooted in the Sonoran desert.

Low Tech Repousse Copper Cuff Bracelet - In-Person Jewelry Class

Tucson Jewelry School, 2520 N Oracle Rd, Tucson · verified Oct 9
    See details

Watch a flat sheet become a sculptural copper cuff as you solder two layers of 24-gauge metal and then use repoussé to develop an organic texture that also shapes the bracelet’s form. The emphasis is on how surface and structure work together, so the raised pattern contributes to the character of the finished piece rather than sitting only on top. This intermediate in-person class is designed for makers already comfortable with sawing and soldering, building on those skills while introducing a different path to creating dimension in metal. Instruction is led by Kim St. Jean, Tucson Jewelry School’s resident artist, who brings more than 25 years of jewelry-teaching experience and step-by-step guidance in the soldering and repoussé techniques used for this project.
