This infant and toddler survival swimming program features the Aqua Baby Survival curriculum, a five week commitment with brief lessons four days a week, 12 minutes per lesson. By the end of the program, children are guaranteed to gain self rescue skills for aquatic emergencies. Because many drownings happen during unplanned swim time when a child may be clothed, once a child is proficient the instruction includes safety checks while the child wears summer clothing on one day and winter clothing on another to confirm the ability to swim and float while fully clothed. Spots are limited. Instruction takes place at the pool used by the Sahuarita Stingrays Swim Team, and the organizers note they are not affiliated with that team.
