Developed by Dr. David Berceli, an international specialist in trauma intervention and conflict resolution, this practice can help release stored emotions from the body. It serves a wide range of people, including parents and spouses seeking more patience, survivors of violence or accidents, soldiers living with PTSD, athletes, and anyone aiming to build resilience and feel better. The session focuses on learning to engage this reflex in a safe, controlled setting so the body can move toward balance.

Hot Wheels Monster Trucks Live: Glow-N-Fire rolls into Desert Diamond Arena with three high-energy shows built for families. Watch massive trucks attempt brand new feats alongside high-flying FMX riders, and see a fire-breathing, car-crushing robot dinosaur in action. The event also introduces Rhinomite, a rhino-themed powerhouse charging into the lineup. Discounted tickets for kids are available to make the outing more affordable. Fans can add a Pre-Show Party before each performance to get close to the trucks, take photos, meet drivers for autographs, join in games and contests, enjoy giveaways, and step onto the floor where the action happens. For an even deeper dive, the Backstage VIP Experience offers a host-guided tour, a VIP merchandise bundle, and a look at pre-show preparations and truck setups, and it includes the Pre-Show Party. An event admission ticket is required for entry, and each upgrade is purchased separately.

This community art expo celebrates imagination and originality for young creators. Participants receive a free canvas to create an original piece with no set theme, and every completed work will be showcased during a gallery display at Avondale City Hall. The expo takes place at the Avondale Civic Center, City Hall Building. Pre-registration is required. Awards are presented in three age groups, 5 to 8, 9 to 12, and 13 to 17. The schedule includes a registration period, a time to pick up canvases, and a drop off window, with pickup and drop off available at Mountain View Community Center or Avondale City Hall. After drop off, artwork remains on view during the gallery display at Avondale City Hall. The event is held rain or shine. Participation in all activities is at your own risk. Only authorized vendors and exhibitors are allowed. Park and city hall properties are smoke free, including no vaping or smokeless tobacco.

Applebee's Grill + Bar in Frontier Village hosts a fundraiser breakfast for Trails 4 Tatas featuring an unlimited pancake menu. Each ticket provides a starter plate with three pancakes, two slices of bacon, and one drink, with choices that include coffee, tea, orange juice, milk, or soda. Drinks come with free refills, and menu changes or add-ons are not available. Tickets cost $10 for adults and kids. For every ticket sold, $5 goes to Trails 4 Tatas, and the group will be on site serving, bussing, and hosting while also receiving all tips. Tickets can be purchased in advance from Victor and Laurie at upcoming activities, with cash preferred and credit cards accepted, or online. A strong turnout helps raise more for the cause.

AZ Toy Con returns to the Glendale Civic Center with a show floor featuring more than a hundred tables filled with vintage and modern toys, trading cards, comics, and other collectibles. Selections span Marvel and DC, Star Wars and Transformers, G.I. Joe, Funko Pop figures, Pokémon cards, Monster High, Barbie, Hot Wheels, video games, and more. General admission is $10, and up to two children age 10 and under are admitted free with each paid admission. An Early Bird VIP option is available for $20 and includes early entry, available at the door only. Vendor tables are available for purchase.

Local Certified Zentangle Teachers Izzi and Diana host a relaxed social meetup focused on studying and sharing the Zentangle method. Expect a meditative, pen-on-paper experience that explores this worldwide abstract art form in a mixed media setting. Participants should bring their own Zentangle tiles, preferred pens, sketchbooks, and any other supplies they like to use. This is not a formal class, so newcomers are asked to complete a beginner lesson before attending. The community known as Zentangle Surprise brings together Certified Zentangle Teachers and art enthusiasts, and this group traces its roots to 2012 when it began as Philly Area Zentangle.

Legend Acres, a veteran-owned, award-winning dog training organization in Arizona, offers positive, evidence-based group classes in a real-world park setting. Options span fundamentals, intermediate, and advanced levels so teams can build skills step by step. Nationally certified instructors with a trauma-informed approach focus on clear communication, focus, and trust. Small groups allow for more individualized guidance. The program includes core coursework for therapy and service dog training, and the curriculum is recognized by the AKC with opportunities to earn titles. These sessions are suitable for puppies as well as experienced learners.
