A community-focused Brazilian Zouk gathering that begins with an open level class taught by Marissa Rivera, suitable for everyone and no partner is required, then flows into a social with music from DJ Amastrus, DJ Viktor, and a special guest. Unified On2 Social brings a multi-room dance experience with dedicated spaces for salsa, bachata urban and sensual, and bachata tradicional. In the salsa room, warm up with classes led by Alex & Hellen and Daisy Mcmillen, then keep the energy high in a 100 percent mambo and salsa setting with music by DjMayimbe, DjCharlie, DjSmooth, and DjAbicu. The second room is all bachata urban and sensual, featuring a class with Allison McKay and a partnering session to be announced, followed by sets from DjMarco and DjEdie fresh. A third room highlights bachata tradicional, starting with a class by Massiel, then shifting to social dancing with DjGil and DjMass. Plenty of free secure parking is available, and the night focuses on great music and social dancing from start to finish.

Heard side by side, these works highlight connections that bridge centuries of musical ideas. In this setting, Beethoven’s voice emerges as immediate and alive. As an opening statement for the season, the concert presents Beethoven as both a starting point and a continuing force.
