The route heads toward the American River Trail and follows the nearby road where traffic is typically light, leaving plenty of room for strollers and conversation. Expect a gentle 10 to 15 minute walking warm up, then 10 rounds of 3 minutes walking and 1 minute running with a plan to progress to 2 minutes running and 2 minutes walking, followed by a 10 to 15 minute walking cool down. Late starts, early finishes, or turning back whenever needed are all supported. Moms, beginners, walkers, runners, strollers, and kids are welcome. An optional coffee hang follows. For everyone’s safety, please complete the one time digital liability waiver before attending.
