An outdoor group dog obedience class that welcomes every experience level. Training centers on positive, force free methods that use rewards and relationship building to strengthen the connection between handlers and their dogs. The series meets weekly, and the full package is $350 for six classes. Instruction is led by Aaron Wood with Aaron’s Pawsitive Coaching. Teams practice everyday manners and foundational skills such as sit, down, stay, stand, coming when called, and watching on cue. The class also covers polite greetings, sitting calmly for petting, walking on a loose leash, focusing around distractions, impulse control, and preparation for the Canine Good Citizen program. Each session adapts to the dogs and handlers who attend, so there is always something new to work on. Puppies younger than one year may test for the AKC STAR Puppy title after completing six classes, which serves as an early step toward the Canine Good Citizen path. All sessions are held outdoors, so dress for the weather and be prepared to train. For everyone’s safety, dogs must remain leashed at all times. Dogs in heat are not permitted. Harsh corrections and the use of e collars, prong or shock collars, and retractable or flexi leashes are not allowed. Please give other teams plenty of space, and limit participation to one adult handler per dog. Please bring proof of current vaccinations for your dog, high value treats, a standard 6 foot leash, a 15 to 20 foot long line for distance work, water for both handler and dog, waste bags, and an optional chair. A positive attitude is encouraged. By participating, attendees agree to a liability waiver that releases Aaron’s Pawsitive Coaching, event organizers, and the cities of Rocklin or Roseville from claims related to the event, and they consent to photography or filming for promotional use without compensation.
