RTAA Presents | Hadestown Teen Edition

Roseville Theatre Arts Academy, 241 Vernon St, Roseville · verified Aug 16
    See details

Hadestown: Teen Edition is a full-length retelling of Anaïs Mitchell’s musical, adapted for teen performers and family audiences. This Masters Production is directed by Colton Archey, with musical direction by Jennifer Vaughn and choreography by Sami Axelson. The sung-through folk opera interweaves the love stories of Orpheus and Eurydice with those of Hades and Persephone, taking audiences on a journey to the underworld and back. Rooted in classic American folk and vintage New Orleans jazz, the score highlights themes of industry versus nature, doubt versus faith, and fear versus love. The Teen Edition is available only to school and youth groups with performers 19 years old and younger. An ASL interpreted performance is included in the run.
