    McHenry Bowl hosts a one day California USBC masters tournament open to current CA USBC members with a 180 or higher average and 2025-26 membership. Youth bowlers with a 180+ average who compete in a California USBC league may enter if they submit the USBC Scholarship waiver before competing. Qualifying consists of six singles games, with bowlers moving pairs after each game, and the highest scratch series sets the top 12. Finals follow immediately, with the top 12 bowling scratch in two-game single elimination matches until a champion is decided. First place awards $3,000 in guaranteed prize money, and prizes or scholarships are paid through 12th place. Seniors who finish outside the cashing positions receive payouts at a 1:5 ratio. Entry fees range from $125 to $150, and participation is based on a minimum of 75 entries. The champion also receives a complimentary jersey from Strike 12 Creations. All participants must check in with valid identification and follow the dress code, which requires a bowling jersey with the bowler’s name on the back along with slacks, shorts, or skorts. USBC membership cards will not be sold on site.
