Modesto Confidential returns to the State Theatre with a live true-crime program where real detectives share the cases they worked, opening up about key evidence, dead ends, and the pivotal moments that led to justice. The program focuses on two homicide investigations. The first presentation examines the murder of Diasia Seese. What began as water leaking into a first-floor hotel room led responders to Room 235 at a Best Western, where a young woman was discovered concealed in a bathtub. The search for the killer extended beyond Modesto and brought detectives to the levees along the Stockton Delta. The second presentation explores the Garrison Park case. After 63-year-old Jace Decker was violently attacked, he fought for his life for 11 days before passing away. Investigators combined determination, city surveillance footage, and extensive social media records to piece together the movements of the assailants and reveal what happened. Before the case presentations begin, ticketholders can enjoy complimentary specialty drinks and appetizers from local vendors. Raffle drawings are part of the program. This is a 21 and over event.
