TAHA organizes volunteer sessions on the last Friday of each month to support the Tracy Animal Shelter. Participation is limited to ten children at a time, and an RSVP for each date is required at least two days in advance so the shelter can be informed of the headcount. Volunteers may help clean cat kennels and then spend time playing with and cuddling cats, or assist with dog enrichment by making dog treats. Each session also includes tasks like sweeping, laundry, and washing dishes. Parents can check out a dog for a walk, and there is an optional separate day program for taking a dog out for the day.
