The second week refreshes ergonomics for centering and pulling walls and adds an introduction to trimming. The third week deepens trimming skills, brings in trimming on chucks and handle pulling, and highlights the four S’s of ceramics, which are score, slip, stick, and smooth. The fourth week focuses on glazing basics and community kiln etiquette. The final week continues glazing with wax resist techniques, explores differences among glazes, and practices glaze layering. Finished work will be ready for pickup about three to four weeks after the last session. Beginners are welcome and the course is open to ages 13 and up.
