You will explore what it means to lead safely and effectively, including how to account for drop zone operations and weather, map out flight paths, manage in air considerations, and run clear briefings and debriefings. Expect personalized feedback, opportunities to ask questions, scenario-based discussions, and time to dig into the details of movement flying. Over the two days, you will plan, brief, lead, and debrief at least one skydive, and you will join as a follower on others. The schedule targets three to four jumps per day, weather permitting, in groups of five participants plus a coach. Minimum experience includes at least 300 skydives, the ability to belly track confidently within roughly six feet of the leader, the skills to fly safely in a group of six, and a basic understanding of jump run, checking daily wind forecasts, and freefall drift. Registration is $450 for the full two day program and does not include jump tickets. Registration is nonrefundable unless a suitable replacement is found, in which case a $100 administrative fee applies. Participants should be ready for up to four jumps per day and are expected to complete or pay for every jump their group undertakes. Funds must be on your account before sunset, with no exceptions, and those planning multiple jumps should ensure the full amount is deposited before the sunset load departs. A mandatory briefing will be held after sunset, time to be announced, and anyone not present will not be permitted to jump. FAA rules require a light visible from three statute miles while under canopy until landing (FAR 105.19). Standard glow sticks do not meet this requirement and are not allowed as a substitute. A red glow stick on the chest strap is acceptable as an additional marker, but a brighter rear-facing strobe is required and must be turned on under canopy through landing. If a strobe is needed, Gold State Gear Store is arranging suitable options for night jumps.

Build strong big-way head down fundamentals with a one day skill camp at Skydive Elsinore led by Jesse Jaber and Chris Dare. With decades of combined experience in vertical big-way formations, these coaches have contributed to current head down and sequential world records, with Chris serving as a sector captain on the Vertical World Record. Jesse captained Team USA to gold in Indoor Dynamic Vertical Sequential 8 Way, and Chris also competed on the gold medal winning team. Together they host the Barnstorm Sequential Event, where experienced flyers design complex dive flows and push vertical sequential skydiving forward. This camp serves intermediate to advanced vertical flyers who are new to big ways or who want to refresh and sharpen their skills. The focus is on the core techniques, safety, awareness, and confidence needed to move into larger formations and more advanced events. Participants will learn the spine and ribs approach, develop a clearer understanding of big-way formations, and explore what it takes to be part of a record setting jump. To participate, you should be able to fly a stable head down for the entire skydive, approach safely and take reliable docks, fly comfortably in groups of at least twelve, and execute a safe breakoff by turning 180 degrees from the center and tracking away. If you are not at that level yet, separate Vertical HD and HU skill camps offer small group coaching to build those fundamentals, and one on one or two on one coaching can be arranged by email. The format includes five jumps, weather permitting, with a minimum group size of seven plus a coach for the day to proceed. Expect 60 minute calls to allow time for packing, video review, and briefings between jumps. The day begins with a 30 minute seminar on big-way fundamentals and safety, and flyers may rotate through base slots during the camp. Registration is 100 dollars and does not include jump tickets. Ticket prices depend on altitude, with a goal of going higher than usual without oxygen if the drop zone permits. A one day vertical skill camp at Skydive Elsinore focuses on head down flying for beginner to intermediate flyers in a small group setting. It supports progression in vertical and freefly skills and is also suited for those working on dynamic flying, steep angles, passing through the vertical, HU tracking, or transitioning from an angle or track to vertical HU or HD. Beginner groups concentrate on the fundamentals of vertical formation flying, including understanding level, slot and docking, multiple HD aircraft exits, managing slow and fast fall rates, giving high fives, and safe approaches and breakoffs from a formation. Intermediate groups practice diving and floating exits, 360 degree turns, carving, docking or breaking in, and VFS or sequential style dive flows. Intermediate to advanced vertical flyers will also find separate intro to big-way and intro to sequential camps offered the same weekend, with participation based on meeting the specific requirements for those sessions. Minimum requirements include at least 150 skydives, the ability to hold and fly static HD for the entire skydive, staying on level within 15 feet of the base or leader without excessive movement, safely flying in a group of four including a coach, and breaking off by turning 180 degrees from the center of the formation and tracking away. Those who do not yet meet the minimums can arrange one-on-one coaching to build solid habits from the start. The format includes a commitment to six jumps, weather permitting, with groups of three participants plus a coach. Each jump cycle follows 40 minute calls to allow time to pack, review video, and brief the next jump. The day begins with a 30 minute safety seminar and briefing before jumping starts. Registration is 225 dollars and does not include jump tickets. Applications are reviewed, and accepted participants receive payment information by email. A private Halloween camping weekend in Temecula, California created for adults 30 and older. Step away from the crowds for campfires, costumes, cocktails, and easy conversation under the stars.
