Wind Warriors is a coaching program for newly licensed skydivers and students cleared for solo that connects wind tunnel training with skydiving. Perris Organizers provide free coaching aimed at helping newer jumpers sharpen skills, build confidence, and develop relationships with experienced coaches in the tunnel and in the sky. The program takes place within Skydive Perris, home to one of the strongest LO programs in the sport. Coaching spans both environments, and tips are welcome. An optional breakfast sandwich with coffee or juice is available for an additional $10 plus tax, and the structure is designed to be consistent and supportive. Session options include 10 minutes for $135 at $13.50 per minute, 20 minutes for $250 at $12.50 per minute, and 30 minutes for $360 at $12 per minute. A minimum of 10 minutes per session is required. The camp is led by Jesse Jaber and Chris Dare, coaches with decades of combined experience in vertical big-way formations. Both have been part of the current HD and Sequential World Records, with Chris serving as a Sector Captain on the Vertical World Record. Jesse captained Team USA to gold in Indoor Dynamic Vertical Sequential 8-Way at the World Championships, and Chris also competed on the gold medal team. Together they host the Barnstorm Sequential Event, where experienced flyers work through complex dive flows that push vertical sequential skydiving. Designed for intermediate to advanced vertical flyers, the curriculum suits those seeking an introduction to big-way flying as well as those looking to refresh or sharpen existing skills. Participants learn the spine and ribs method, deepen their understanding of big-way formations, and explore what it takes to contribute to record-caliber jumps. Minimum skills are required for participation. Flyers must be able to maintain a static head down position for the duration of the skydive, approach safely and take reliable docks, fly in a group of at least twelve, and execute a safe breakoff by turning 180 degrees from the center and tracking away. Those who do not yet meet these standards can pursue Vertical HD or HU skill camp options in smaller groups, and one on one or one on two coaching can be arranged by email. The format includes a commitment to five jumps, weather permitting. The day begins with a 30 minute seminar covering big-way fundamentals and safety, followed by sixty minute calls that allow time to pack, review video, and brief the next jump. A minimum group size of seven plus a coach is required for the event to proceed. Participants may be asked to fly in the base, with positions rotated. Registration is 100 dollars and does not include jump tickets. Ticket pricing depends on altitude, with a plan to go higher than usual without oxygen if permitted by the drop zone. Participants may be assigned head up or head down positions, and some sequences may mix orientations and include dynamic elements. Prerequisites include the ability to maintain a stable head down throughout the jump, approach safely to take multiple docks, and break off cleanly from the center of the formation. Team Horizon hosts a one-day Vertical Skill Camp focused on head-up flying at Skydive Elsinore, created for beginner to intermediate freeflyers who want to build solid vertical skills. It also supports anyone aiming to develop dynamic flying, head-up tracking, or transitions from head-down angles to head up. Beginner groups concentrate on the building blocks of vertical formation flying, including understanding level, slot, and docking, exploring different head-up exits from the aircraft, managing both slow and fast fall rates, practicing controlled high fives, and learning safe approaches and breakoffs. Intermediate groups work on diving and floating exits, 360-degree turns, carving, docking or breaking in, and VFS or sequential-style dive flows. Participants must have at least 150 skydives, be able to maintain a stable head-up position for the entire skydive, stay on level within about 15 feet of the base without excessive movement, fly safely in a group of four including a coach, and break off safely by rolling to the back and tracking away from the center. If these benchmarks are not yet met, one-on-one coaching can be arranged. The day begins with a safety briefing, then moves into a schedule of six jumps if weather allows. Groups consist of three participants plus a coach. Forty-minute calls between loads provide time to pack, review video, and brief the next jump. The format keeps things local and approachable, making it simple to earn scoring points with friends. With an affiliation to a national organization, teams can compare results against competitors worldwide. Medals are awarded in A/Beginner, AA/Intermediate, and AAA/Advanced divisions. Participants register and pay as individuals, whether arriving with a full lineup or not. Those who sign up at least a week ahead can use the Just Sign Up to Team Up program to be placed on a team. Bring a team or get help building one. The meet consists of five skydives. Loads go on a first come, first served basis. Normal calls run about 40 minutes, and teams may arrange faster turn times if desired. The entry fee is 30 dollars per flyer, not including video. Expect to cover video costs and any fees associated with your videographer. Regular Elsinore slot rates apply, and bulk or ticket options are accepted. There are no refunds starting one week beforehand, although slots are fully transferable.

An 8-way skydiving challenge created by Christy Frikken blends strategy, solid flying, and a touch of luck in a relaxed competitive format. Teams choose their own jumps from a menu of formations, balance skill levels, and try to predict which selections will be most valuable by the end. After each skydive, Christy reveals a secret combination of formations with point values, so groups can see what they have already completed and decide what to target next. Scores are totaled at the finish to determine who leads the pack. Plan on the regular slot rate for five jumps, and bulk tickets are accepted. One slot per team is complimentary and includes jumping with an organizer. Registration is $25 per person, excluding video and the captain. Teams cover video at $5 to $8 per person per jump. Wildomar VFWWind Warriors
Wind Warriors is a coaching program for newly licensed skydivers and students cleared for solo that bridges wind tunnel training with real skydives. Perris organizers provide free coaching, with tips welcome, and the support extends from the tunnel to the sky so new jumpers can apply skills in both environments. The focus is on sharpening technique, building confidence, and forming connections with experienced coaches at Skydive Perris. Sessions include belly and back flying. An optional breakfast sandwich with coffee or juice is available for an additional $10 plus tax. The program offers a consistent, supportive structure to help participants progress. Rates are 10 minutes for $135 at $13.50 per minute, 20 minutes for $250 at $12.50 per minute, and 30 minutes for $360 at $12 per minute. A minimum of 10 minutes is required per session.
