REMEMBERING: A Somatic Healing Journey

Held at The Healing Portal, this somatic healing workshop invites participants to rediscover the wholeness that exists beneath stress, tension, trauma, learned patterns, and expectations. The session begins with intentional fascia based movement and breathwork to help you connect with your body, organs, tissues, and nervous system. These gentle practices create space, support regulation, and expand the body’s ability to release tension and restore natural flow. The experience then moves into a restorative somatic energy healing segment. While resting comfortably on a mat, the process engages the nervous system, somatic body, and energetic field to encourage the unwinding of stored stress, emotions, trauma, ancestral influences, and limiting beliefs. Some people may notice subtle spontaneous responses such as wave-like motions, stretches, gentle hip sways, or vocal sounds as the body follows its own innate guidance. The intention is a guided journey back to inner knowing, resilience, capacity for healing, and a sense of enduring wholeness. Please bring a yoga mat, a journal and pen, and water. Blankets, pillows, or other comfort items may be brought if desired. For safety and appropriate support, please contact the somatic energy practitioner at valeriemajornp@gmail.com before registering or participating if any of the following apply: recovering from recent injuries, fractures, or surgeries, first trimester of pregnancy, children younger than 12 or adults older than 75, severe PTSD or mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychosis, use of heavy medications that alter brain chemistry including antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, or antipsychotics, seizure disorder or epilepsy, cardiovascular issues including heart disease or heart conditions, a history or diagnosis of aneurysm, severe asthma, or psychiatric hospitalization, emotional crisis, or spiritual emergency within the past three years.

Mosaic Large Project Class

Spend a creative day crafting a large mosaic of your own design in this extended, hands-on workshop. Create a 3D mosaic critter or a rectangular piece made to hang indoors or outdoors while learning the full process from planning and color selection to cutting and shaping glass, gluing and grouting, and finishing for display. Choose from more than 25 pre-cut wood bases such as dolphin, seahorse, seashell, fish, butterfly, turtle, surfboard, or dragonfly, or build a one-of-a-kind landscape on a square form. This all-day format offers more time than a typical half-day session, giving plenty of room to explore details and customize your piece. Wear clothes that can handle a little mess, and feel free to bring snacks and a drink to stay fueled. Participants leave with a personalized, fully finished mosaic ready to hang, along with skills to keep creating at home. Tuition is $120 per person or $200 for two.
