Scherr Forum TheatreTeacher Comedy Night! - Oxnard, CA - The Unteachables Live w/ Miss Redacted
Once the loud kids in the back of the class, The Unteachables are stand-up comics who unexpectedly found themselves teaching and now spin those experiences, and plenty more, into laughs for everyone. Whether you work in education, need a break from the daily grind, or simply love comedy, their show reaches beyond classroom chaos. They have been featured by NBC, The Breakfast Club, The New York Post, and the Roast Battle League. Arriving as part of the Paid Time Off Tour, this stop salutes all things education, with a lineup that includes a former teacher of the year and a comic who lost a job over TikToks. Fresh from their Summer Break Special, they deliver unfiltered stand-up followed by a no-rules QnA. Doors open one hour before showtime. Miss Redacted draws on years in the classroom to say what therapy and a salary schedule could not. A Southern comic with a soft spot for Waffle House and camo mini skirts, she co-hosts the Teacher Quit Talk podcast and has earned millions of views on TikTok. Expect laughs, not lesson objectives. Stephen Taylor, a Louisiana native who moved to Kansas City, blends personal stories with easygoing Southern charm. His credits include The Breakfast Club, The New York Post, and San Francisco Sketchfest, and his debut album, The Bottom Half, hit number one on iTunes and can be heard on Sirius XM. Lou Pharis grew up in the less-famous corners of Louisiana, once chased the NFL and American Ninja Warrior, then turned to public education. After a rough school day pushed him to an open mic, his comedy took off, racking up more than 100 million social media views. He has headlined at Zanies, Comedy Works, and Wiseguys, appeared on NBC and Bored Teachers, and performed at festivals across the country.
