Complimentary dockside yoga sessions presented by The Floathouse Petaluma bring the community together on first Friday evenings and on Sunday mornings throughout the summer. Each class is led by a different local teacher and supported by changing local sponsors. Participation is free, and registration is required because capacity is limited to 24 spots. Please wait to reserve a session until plans are certain. Concert on the Green welcomes Big Blu Soul Quartet to the Civic Green, delivering a lively blend of soul, rhythm and blues, and funk. There is no charge to attend. Bring picnic blankets or lawn chairs for comfortable lawn seating. Outside food and beverages are allowed, and downtown Novato offers nearby spots to grab something to eat. Music in Place and the City of Sonoma present a summer Sonoma Sundays On the Plaza concert at the Sonoma Plaza Grinstead Amphitheater. The program features Tim Weed, a Grammy-nominated concert musician, composer, producer, recording engineer, and recording artist known for expressive 5-string banjo work, strong songwriting, and soaring vocals, alongside The Dorian Mode. This Petaluma-based acoustic quartet, led by vocalist and bassist Dorian Bartley with Robby Elfman on piano and clarinet, Peter Graves on sax, and Tony Blake on drums, celebrates the Great American Songbook with vintage jazz, up-tempo R&B, and soulful ballads that evoke 1920s speakeasies, 1930s big-band swing, 1940s jump blues, and the lively R&B associated with Ruth Brown. The series is free and open to everyone thanks to support from the Sonoma Community Center, The Dawn Redwoods Trust, and the McNeely Family Foundation.

Enjoy a year-round Tuesday farmers market at Lucchesi Park, featuring local produce, prepared foods, and a variety of market vendors. It’s a free outdoor event, and it’s a great spot to stop by for food, meet up with friends, or plan a relaxed date night.

Kelly's Appliance and the Rohnert Park Chamber of Commerce host a networking mixer at Kelly's Appliance Center. Attendees can connect with local professionals while enjoying complimentary snacks and beverages. Admission is free and open to everyone. Bring a raffle item to showcase your business and take part in prize drawings, including a business card drawing. Chamber members are automatically entered into the Pot of Gold drawing and must be present to win.

Stop by the Sonoma County Library BiblioBus when it pulls up to the Petaluma Senior Center. It is a mobile library where you can sign up for a library card, use free Wi-Fi, and check out books in English and Spanish for all ages.

Downtown Novato comes alive with a free street party featuring Pop Rocks, a top Bay Area party band that will get the crowd moving. Expect plenty of dancing in the streets along with beer, wine, cocktails, and a variety of food vendors to keep the celebration going.
