A Mrs. Roper themed romp by train travels on Train 724 to Old Town Sacramento from Oakland, Martinez, Fairfield/Suisun, Vacaville, or Davis for roughly five hours of festivities, then returns the same day. The bar hop begins at Last Stop Saloon and continues to Fanny Ann's. Sacramento residents are welcome to take part. The first 50 participants receive gift bags, and bringing extra cash for donations to local charities is encouraged. Help with outfits is available for anyone who needs it. Create a Critter is a guided crochet along focused on a featured amigurumi project, with materials provided and a relaxed atmosphere for crafting with others. Anyone already working on a personal project can opt into the open Crochet Social during either session, make use of the regular $10 game space entry, and enjoy crocheting, chatting, and connecting with fellow crafters. Participants in the social should bring their own supplies and works in progress. These events are offered together once a month.

Hosted by Namaste Bookstore, this hands-on workshop features musician, healer, and herbalist Chandra Denise Ruelas of Vana Deva Sanctuary at Ananda Village and focuses on practical ways to support health and well-being with medicinal plants. Participants learn how to identify, grow, harvest, dry, store, and prepare herbs for everyday use. The session explores the roots and traditions of herbal healing, highlights commonly used plants and what they are used for, shares harvesting and processing methods, offers step-by-step guidance for making simple herbal teas, oil infusions, salves, and tinctures, and provides tips for creating a small apothecary at home. It is suitable for beginners as well as those already tending herb gardens. Attendees can taste teas and try oils and salves. Please bring a notebook, a water bottle, and plenty of curiosity. The fee is $30. This is an in-person event, with registration available through the website. The program reflects the encouragement to learn to use nature’s foods.

Test your speed and teamwork at Galaxy Game Cafe in a monthly showdown built around a 1,000 piece jigsaw. Enter solo or form a team of up to four, then race other groups to be the first to finish. The top team earns a $25 GGC gift card, and teammates may divide the prize however they choose. Each ticket covers entry for one to four players in the puzzle competition and also includes board game admission at the cafe before and after the race. Participants keep the puzzle they worked on and take it home.

Bed By 10 returns to Sacramento with a 30-plus clubbing experience at The Rink Studios. It offers the excitement of a night out without the late finish, with a soundtrack of favorites from the 80s, 90s, and early 2000s that keeps the dance floor moving. Expect a friendly atmosphere that makes it easy to dance, mingle, and enjoy great music while still keeping the evening low key.
