Picture This! is a recurring film series that offers complimentary screenings most Tuesdays in the Central Library's Neil Morgan Auditorium. It is open to all and does not require advance registration. Selections include Obsession (R, 109 minutes, Horror, 2026), where Baron 'Bear' Bailey breaks a novelty charm to compel his coworker Nikki Freeman's love, triggering a supernatural fixation that turns violent and traps him in consequences he cannot undo. The Maltese Falcon (100 minutes, Approved, 1941) follows a San Francisco private investigator pulled into a perilous pursuit of a fabled 16th century statuette after his partner is killed during what seemed like a routine tail. Dumb and Dumber (PG-13, 107 minutes, Comedy, 1994) trails a hapless limo driver and his even less savvy friend as they embark on a cross-country trip to return a briefcase left at an airport. Explore the Melómano Beginner Salsa Partner Performance Teams at a free tryout led by directors Patrick and Diana in a friendly, positive environment. The session begins with a light warm-up focused on body movement and gentle stretching, then moves into foundational steps, a short shine, and partnerwork. Plan to arrive a few minutes early to check in, bring your own water, and wear comfortable clothing. All levels are welcome, though completing Salsa Cycle Level 2 or having equivalent experience is recommended. Performing is optional, and anyone interested in performing must receive approval from the team directors. Team membership includes Melómano group classes at your level, along with caring coaching to build confidence, improve timing and rhythm, refine body movement and turn technique, strengthen lead and follow skills, optimize weight transfer, and develop styling, stretching, and isolation. The community also enjoys group outings, photoshoots, festival discounts, and chances to perform in San Diego and out of town. If you cannot attend this tryout, a make-up session is available the following week by messaging the organizers. Additional auditions are offered for beginner and intermediate salsa and bachata partner teams, as well as ladies and progressive teams. The tryout takes place at Melómano Dance Studio.
