Guardino attended his first concert at 14 and has spent more than five decades building a wide ranging rock collection that spans vinyl records, posters, handbills, signed photos, instruments, concert shirts, comics, magazines, and collectible toys. He remains an active concertgoer, with a special affinity for Dead and Company, and this publication marks his debut as an author. Conroy has written eight books, including Shooting Stars and Blazing Guitars and I’m Just Sayin'. Over a 35 year career he taught theater and public speaking in San Jose public schools and storytelling at San José State University, and he wrote and directed the rock themed musicals Hip Van Winkle, Revenge of the Flower Children, and Rock and Roll Must Die. TOAST returns to Campbell with The Best of Bread, back by popular demand after the show sold out last year. The concert salutes the band that helped shape early 1970s soft rock, featuring beloved hits like Make It With You, If, Baby I’m-a Want You, and Everything I Own. Bread earned 13 appearances on the Billboard Top 100, and while surviving members David Gates and Robb Royer are now retired, this tribute group is devoted to keeping their music in the spotlight. Known for a remarkably faithful sound that echoes the original recordings, TOAST delivers a performance fans often describe as true to the records they remember. Expect a nostalgic journey from tender ballads to upbeat favorites that inspire both quiet reflection and moments of dancing, presented at Campbell Heritage Theatre.

The Who’s Tommy returns to the San Jose Center for the Performing Arts in a newly reimagined production shaped for today. Originating from the groundbreaking 1969 rock opera, this staging blends mythic storytelling with theatrical spectacle and features the iconic songs I’m Free, See Me, Feel Me, Sensation and Pinball Wizard. When his father kills an opponent, young Tommy shuts down and becomes fixated on his reflection, until a remarkable knack for pinball lifts him from withdrawn adolescence to sudden fame. Tony Award winner Pete Townshend and original director Des McAnuff, also a Tony Award recipient, revisit the work to uncover fresh resonance. Single tickets are available.

World Ballet Company brings Swan Lake to Campbell Heritage Theatre, a sweeping retelling of the classic story where fate and sorcery intertwine in a timeless conflict between good and evil. A 50-member international cast performs in more than 150 hand-sewn costumes against handcrafted sets, while Tchaikovsky’s score fills the theater. Signature moments are showcased throughout, from the Dance of the Little Swans to the Black Swan’s dazzling sequence of 32 fouettés. The performance runs approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes, including a 20-minute intermission, and is recommended for ages 5 and up. Based in Los Angeles and led by Sasha Gorskaya and Gulya Hartwick, World Ballet Company tours beloved ballets to cities across the country with artists representing over ten nations, having visited more than 300 cities and performed for audiences totaling over 500,000.
