Case brings his R&B and soul sound to Yoshi's Oakland -Jack London square with a live band. Born Case Woodard, he has built more than two decades of platinum-selling music centered on love from many angles. Raised in Brooklyn, the Bronx, and Mount Vernon, he pursued music early despite a strict household, moving from family-room performances to stints with the group Future and the duo Black. His solo rise followed writing and background vocals for artists including Usher, Christopher Williams, and Al B. Sure, then a discovery by Russell Simmons that led to a Def Jam deal. His 1996 debut introduced the hit Touch Me, Tease Me featuring Foxy Brown and Mary J. Blige. Personal Conversation in 1999 delivered Happily Ever After and Faded Pictures, and Open Letter in 2001 produced Missing You, which topped charts and earned Grammy nominations for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance and Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. Case’s voice has also been heard on soundtracks for films such as Nutty Professor, Rush Hour, and The Best Man, along with collaborations that include work with Ja Rule. Music in the Park at Stafford Park fills summer evenings with ten weeks of free outdoor concerts, a friendly place to relax with friends and family as a mix of new talent and returning favorites take the stage. The Anthony Arya Band brings a rock-infused blend of indie folk, rock, and pop, driven by Anthony Arya’s expressive vocals and dynamic live show that nods to the Laurel Canyon sound while feeling current. An indie folk artist from the San Francisco Bay Area, he first drew widespread attention at 16 through appearances on NBC’s The Voice. Now 23, he is an award-winning songwriter with four full-length albums, and a steady schedule of weekly performances that carried him through more than 150 shows in 2024 and 2025 at well known West Coast venues and festivals. In February 2026 he released the acoustic single Sugar On Your Shades, with live versions surpassing one million views on social media, and additional tracks are set to roll out ahead of a new album planned by the end of 2026.
