Enjoy a welcoming toddler storytime in the Children's Section of the Library. It is geared to families with little ones around ages 2 to 3 and features about 20 to 25 minutes of brief stories, songs, and simple fingerplay activities. This one-on-one GED class supports Solano County adults 18 and older with free personalized instruction and a complimentary workbook. Offered every Friday and Saturday, it pairs each student with instructor Paula Landers to create a plan for testing and study, address individual questions, and identify the learning approaches that work best. Participants learn to use the GED website’s practice tools, receive a textbook covering all subjects, and decide together which sections to focus on, since completing the entire book is not required to pass. Paula also guides learners as they prepare for each subject test, and the class typically sees one or two graduates each year. Registration takes place during class. Dave & Buster’s in Fairfield hosts a Music Bingo game night that swaps numbers for song clips. A game host plays a mix of familiar tunes, and participants mark the matching song titles on their bingo cards. Players use a phone to access a digital card.
