    McHenry Bowl hosts a one-day California State Masters tournament open to current California USBC members who carry a 180 or higher average and hold current USBC membership. Participation is contingent on a minimum of 75 entries. Entry is $125, and membership cards will not be sold at the venue. Qualifying features six single games with pair changes after each game, and scratch totals determine the top 12 advancing to the finals. Finals begin immediately after qualifying, with the top 12 bowling scratch in a single-elimination bracket using two-game matches until a champion is crowned. First place includes a guaranteed $3,000 payout, and the top 12 places receive prize or scholarship awards. Seniors who finish outside the cash are paid at a 1:5 ratio. Youth bowlers with 180 or higher averages who bowl in a California USBC league may participate if a USBC scholarship waiver is submitted before competition. All competitors must check in wearing appropriate attire. Bowling jerseys with the bowler’s name on the back are required, and slacks, shorts, or skorts are acceptable. The tournament chair will make final decisions on dress code concerns. Valid identification is required at check-in for participation and for brackets. The champion also receives a free jersey.
