The 17th Annual STOMP Out Epilepsy and SUDEP brings the community together at Hudson Gardens in Littleton, Colorado to raise awareness and honor those affected by epilepsy and Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy. Participants of all ages can choose a self-timed 5K run or enjoy a one mile Family Fun Walk as everyone remembers, celebrates, and works toward a future with fewer seizure-related tragedies. A brief remembrance celebration will honor loved ones lost to epilepsy, and participants walking in someone’s memory can ask to be included. Long-sleeved event shirts are available for a minimal cost, with opportunities for team names to appear on the shirts for qualifying fundraisers. Fundraising teams can be created during registration, and supporters who cannot attend in person can still participate by selecting a fundraising only option. Milestone rewards include a STOMP branded tumbler at $250, a tumbler with a sling backpack at $500, and a tumbler, sling backpack, and hoodie at $1,000. Top fundraising teams that raise $10,000 or more may receive an appreciation experience for the team manager and up to three guests at Epilepsy Awareness Day at Disneyland or Disney World, or The Purple Day Expo, with an estimated value of $3,000. Event proceeds help provide fully trained seizure response dogs, life saving movement monitors for those in need, and wish trips to major epilepsy awareness events.
