Explore Desiderata Ranch with a guided walk through a small farm in southwest Berthoud. The route includes a look at the high tunnel, the hydroponics house, small fields, berry patches, and a landscaped garden. Led by owner Pam Bradley, the experience features tastings of jam and jelly made on site, with both preserves and fresh produce available for purchase. Admission is $10.

At the Longmont YMCA, this free drive-up food distribution provides groceries with no forms to complete and no questions asked. Bags are prepared in advance and may include fresh produce, prepared deli items, dairy, and baked goods, depending on weekly donations. Distribution takes place on the south side of the parking lot, and the line can also be accessed through the southwest lot in front of the YMCA preschool. All cars and bicycles should form a single line, remain inside, and wait for volunteers to bring food directly to the vehicle. To promote fairness, amounts are based on the number of people in each household, and service continues while supplies last. Donations and volunteers are welcome to support this community effort.

Summer Music Evenings at Sunflower Farm offer live local music alongside a food truck, with farm animals and regular Farmfest activities open for a relaxed night on the farm. For the season finale, Leftover Salmon banjoist Andy Thorn steps onto the Sunflower Farm stage. Thorn’s backyard performance for a curious fox went viral in 2021 and led to national media appearances, including talk shows and podcasts, as well as a New York Times nod likening the moment to Aesop. He later recorded that tune, Aesop Mountain, for Songs of the Sunrise Fox, an instrumental album that highlights gentle, sunrise-ready banjo melodies rather than jam-band flash. The recording features Erik Deutsch on piano, Greg Garrison on bass, and Windfield champion Tyler Grant on guitar. Dinner can be purchased from Georgia Boys, and Palo Coffee & Bar will serve non-alcoholic beverages and snow cones. If kid tickets are sold out, please purchase adult tickets. Attendees are welcome to bring chairs and blankets, and the atmosphere is friendly for families.
