An after school gathering for school age children and their parents focuses on creative projects that get everyone talking. Families make engaging crafts that prompt meaningful conversations and strengthen connections.

A welcoming setting for singles to relax, connect, and meet new people. Complimentary charcuterie will be offered, and a full food and bar menu is available for anyone who wants dinner, snacks, or a drink while chatting. Choose the atmosphere that suits you, whether that is a quieter corner, time on the dance floor, or a seat at the bar. This is a free social event and friends are welcome. The space will also serve regular guests, yet there will be designated areas for singles, name tags, and potentially some facilitated introduction opportunities to make mingling easier.

Explore handbuilding ceramics at the Firehouse Art Center Ceramics Studio. This relaxed session welcomes clay enthusiasts at every level. Short demos will be provided on construction techniques for beginners, or spend the time working independently on your own projects. The $15 fee includes up to 5 pounds of clay and bisque firing for the pieces you make. After they are fired, pick up your work to paint at home or bring it to a future Play with Clay night to glaze. Projects must be handbuilt. Glaze tickets cover glaze only and do not include clay. Children 14 and under need a paid, participating adult. Because this class often sells out, refunds are not available without 48 hours notice.

A weekly group ride around Longmont that keeps the focus on fun. Expect a no-drop pace over roughly 8 to 20 miles, with a mid-ride stop to relax, chat with friends old and new, or enjoy libations. The route follows mostly bike paths with occasional optional singletrack sections. While the ride is geared toward adults, kids are welcome at a parent’s discretion. Riders should bring lights and BYOB. This ride is weather dependent, and updates will be posted if conditions are poor.

Collision Brewing Company hosts a Full Throttle Yoga session that welcomes all experience levels and operates on a donation basis. When the weather is nice, practice takes place on the patio, otherwise it moves indoors. After class, students receive buy one get one beers. No advance registration is required. Bring a yoga mat and enjoy an energizing practice. A live online streaming option is also available.

Explore Desiderata Ranch with a guided walk through a small farm in southwest Berthoud. The route includes a look at the high tunnel, the hydroponics house, small fields, berry patches, and a landscaped garden. Led by owner Pam Bradley, the experience features tastings of jam and jelly made on site, with both preserves and fresh produce available for purchase. Admission is $10.

Spend a day exploring creativity in Downtown Longmont with the Downtown Maker’s Crawl. Admission is $165 per person and covers five hands-on projects, a keepsake tote, and lunch. Participants travel on foot to five local, women-owned businesses, with each stop offering an approachable workshop. Create a quick-carve pop art print at Wolf & Wren, make a macramé plant hanger that includes a succulent at Happy Day Plants, design a fruit themed decorative plate at Crackpots, craft a needle felt sunflower ornament at Longmont Yarn Shoppe, and embroider floral motifs at Maker General. The day starts at Juniper Goods. Advance registration is required, groups may register together to stay in the same cohort, and lunch choices are selected during registration. Payments are nonrefundable, and late arrivals cannot be accommodated due to the tight schedule. Free parking is available on Sundays.

Silver Creek HS Performing Arts Dept hosts its annual mattress fundraiser at Silver Creek High School, offering savings of up to 50 percent off typical retail pricing on mattresses and accessories. Brand new, factory direct beds can be ordered during the event for home delivery, and every purchase supports the students. Explore more than 30 models from brands such as Purple, Helix, Simmons Beautyrest, Therapedic, Innomax, American Sleep, and Tranquility. All standard sizes are available across the lineup, including twin extra long and California king, with select models that can be custom sized for RVs or antique frames. Several mattresses qualify for free shipping to the lower 48 states. Orders are made to order after the fundraiser and ship fresh from the factory, with standard factory warranties that are typically 10 years or longer. About three to five weeks after the event, beds will be ready for pickup, and an optional white glove delivery service is available. Adjustable power bases will be featured to elevate the upper and lower body, which can help with sleep apnea, acid reflux, and back, shoulder, or hip discomfort, and they are convenient for reading, watching TV, or working in bed. New this year are personal neck and back massagers. Infinity Luxury Massage Chairs will also be on site, described as supporting endorphin production to help balance mood. A wide selection of pillows will be available, including cool gel options and essential oil infused varieties like lavender, chamomile, and peppermint, along with sheets, mattress protectors and pads, and frames. Even if a new mattress is not needed, there are many accessories to choose from and every purchase helps the kids at Silver Creek HS. Mention the student you are supporting when purchasing a mattress to receive a free set of microfiber sheets.

At the Longmont YMCA, this free drive-up food distribution provides groceries with no forms to complete and no questions asked. Bags are prepared in advance and may include fresh produce, prepared deli items, dairy, and baked goods, depending on weekly donations. Distribution takes place on the south side of the parking lot, and the line can also be accessed through the southwest lot in front of the YMCA preschool. All cars and bicycles should form a single line, remain inside, and wait for volunteers to bring food directly to the vehicle. To promote fairness, amounts are based on the number of people in each household, and service continues while supplies last. Donations and volunteers are welcome to support this community effort.
