Celebrate summer Fridays in the hop yard with live music, beer and nonalcoholic drinks made with locally grown hops, and wine from the vineyard next door. Kick off the Montrose Summer Music Series with The Band of Heathens, bringing their rootsy country blues and Americana sound to the stage at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater. Tickets are available through Bandsintown.

Heartbreaker, led by Drew Hutson Rogers, brings Tom Petty’s music back to the stage at Delta Roadhouse. The set draws from Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, the Traveling Wilburys, and Petty’s solo catalog, creating an evening of classics, sing along favorites, and rock and roll spirit. The annual Fun on the Uncompahgre, also known as FUNC Fest, brings two days of activity on and off the water to celebrate the river and the community around it. The City of Montrose partners with the Montrose Summer Music Series to present a free concert on Friday at the Montrose Rotary Amphitheater. The festivities continue Saturday at Riverbottom Park, starting early with water sports, vendors, kids activities, food trucks, live music, and more. Guided by the theme United Uncompahgre and the slogan Community in the Name FUNC, the event highlights the Uncompahgre River and the Montrose Water Sports Park, using recreation as a way to build connections and share in outdoor fun. As a signature annual gathering, it offers inclusive experiences for athletes, families, and visitors while showcasing the natural beauty and community spirit of Montrose. The 4th Annual Adult Prom Fundraiser Benefiting Mrs. Claus for a Cause transforms The Temple Events into an 80s celebration that supports holiday giving. Dance to live music from The Dirt, a tribute to the era’s hair metal hits, and enjoy a complimentary glass of champagne, a dessert and charcuterie bar, a photo booth, a slideshow, and a silent auction. General admission is $50 per person or $80 for two. Sponsor tables seat six for $600 and include social media recognition, signage, and event swag. Donations of silent auction items are welcome. The St. Elmo Tavern Summer Sound Series brings live music to the patio with craft cocktails, mountain scenery, and easygoing summer vibes. This edition features the Will Overman Band, led by a Virginia-raised songwriter whose honest, hard-earned vocals anchor a blend of folk and Americana.
